What a fantastic spot.. on the River with additional outdoor protected dining. Fantastic lobster Themador, so many flavors, sides delicious, Kayla, our server knows bourbons. Helpful and accommodating. Wife had scallops… almost custom to accommodate her diatary issues. Service from reception to server…above and beyond.

Gorgeous river views, perfect service and food top tier. Loved the blackberry lemon drop super refreshing perfect Summer drink. The complimentary corn bread omgggg. Everything was delicious on this date night we can't wait to go back.

The food was so good I missed pictures… Starting off, Jenn was an amazing host. She recommended perfect drinks and both of our meals. The oysters she told us to get were perfect, perfect brininess and flavor. The dinner recommendations with pairings were right on point. We have nothing bad to say but go to this place. Thank you for a great meal, service, and ambiance. We recommend this place to anyone that loves seafood and great adult beverages.

Been here twice before for their All You Can Eat Crab buffet. Came for it for the 3rd time, but this is my last time coming here. The way it works there is they give you 2 medium sized, fresh clean crab clusters, and eventually go to lower quality crab and one portion. My gf and I didn't even get that! From the beginning we got crab that was very dirty, poor quality, some legs were covered with barnacles and the shells needed scissors rather than crab crackers they were so old. Gf complained to the manager how dirty the crab was and she made a lame excuse as to say the dirt was actally seasonings (WTH?) The crab looked so bad we stopped eating it from disgust rather then from being full. Asked another patron how his crab was and he said his was clean for the first 6 plates. We didn't even get that. The steak we ordered and the charcuterie board were great, and the atmosphere with the fire pit was really nice, but the crab was an absolute disappointment. A waste of $300, I won't be back here ever....

Birthday Dinner at the River House 🎂✨
I celebrated my birthday at River House Restaurant & Raw Bar, and it was such a beautiful experience.
To start the evening, I ordered a Whiskey Sour made with egg white and bitters, and it was perfectly balanced—smooth, refreshing, and crafted just right. 🍹
For appetizers, we had the jumbo lump crab and the spinach artichoke dip, and both were absolutely delicious. The crab was fresh and flavorful, and the dip was creamy with just the right amount of seasoning.
The atmosphere along the river made the night feel even more special, and the service was warm and attentive. It was a wonderful place to celebrate a birthday and just enjoy good food and good energy.
If you're looking for a spot in Louisville for a special occasion, date night, or celebration dinner, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

Was a 21st bday dinner for 5, wanting a 5 star nice dinner. Sat us on the in closed patio (patio furniture) in February with heaters. Wasn't cold but wasn't eligent for $600+ . Service was still gd , food was fine but didn't say WOW. Probably won't return.

We stopped by the River House for lunch. The place has nice decorations, indoor and outdoor seating. It was a rainy, winter day, but even then it was a nice view. There’s hundreds of seats - like, really. We had a few appetizers (stuffed lobster was the best) and different dishes for our main course. It took way too long for the food to come out, despite the restaurant being at ~30-40% capacity. The NY strip steak came out very raw, but they changed it promptly. Problem was that even when it came out right, the steak quality didn’t justify the price. Still a nice place to go - maybe just getting a different main course.

The food is amazing and service is outstanding. It is a bit expensive but if you have a special day or event to celebrate, I would highly recommend.
