Overpriced for greasy brisket small portions and the sausage was bad. I couldn’t even eat it $25 ridiculous.

I just ate ate River Road BBQ. When I saw the small the small portion of brisket they gaver for $14 I asked about it. The young girl got defensive and did not bother to look to see if she made a mistake. It was an unpleasant experience and I won't go back

River rd bbq reminds me of a small town bbq place, not something you expect to find in Louisville. The sliced brisket sandwich was cooked/smoked to perfection. BTW, get double the meat, you will want it.

Service was great. Unfortunately the brisket was awful. Incredibly dry and tough. Pulled pork was decent. A touch dry but not as offensive.
The potato salad. Boom. Addictive. I know it’s a bbq joint and it’s got amazing smoked meats and sausages. And don’t get me started on the sauce. No the bbq doesn’t need the sauce but the sauce is homemade every day and it’s delicious! The people who operate it are kind and always smiling. The number of smokers smoking away in the parking lot? That should be your sign. This business got hit very hard by the flooding. It’s taken a long expensive time to get back to doing what they do best. They are right off the expressway or a ride down River Road. You will not be disappointed!

Great outside patio and seating area (of course! It's on RIVER ROAD)! The staff is exceptional! The cooks/chefs know what they are doing. Go there between opening-5pm if you want to order anything off the menu (they sell out of links, chicken and greens after 6pm sometimes). The have menus online and a menu there. Good price for their amazing BBQ!
The pictures below, you will see their 12oz ribs(before and after 💪🏽😶🌫️✊🏽💯). It truly depends on the weight of how many bones you get {6oz/12oz}. FOR MY ATG BEER LOVERS: they got it in cans for a normal price!
