Sapporo Japanese Grill & Sushi

Today was my first time at Sapporo with my husband and the experience was phenomenal. We were helped by a handsome male Asian waiter, unfortunately I didn’t get his name but he was incredibly sweet, welcoming, and always had a warm smile. His recommendations were spot-on, especially since it was our first visit and we weren’t sure what to order. The sushi rolls were so fresh and the quality was excellent. Definitely will be back soon!

It was okay. Over priced, long waits and food was not very flavorful. Not to mention no yum yum sauce.

This is the best sushi in Louisville! I love their ginger dressing, getting ginger salads anywhere else has been ruined for me because theirs is so good. My go to roll is the Numero Uno-spicy but so good. My other fave is the Redbull roll. The beef fried rice is always delicious too! I recommend this place to all my friends.

I’ve been eating here for over 12 years, and it’s still my favorite sushi spot. The food is always amazing—fresh, delicious, and consistently perfect every time. The owners are truly wonderful people who make you feel like family from the moment you walk in.

A special shoutout to Liani, who is an exceptional server. She’s incredibly kind, attentive, and always makes the experience even better.

Was a regular here but will not be back to the business! Came right around the time they opened and ordered instantly as I always come here and know what I want. We waited for 35 minutes for our food and sever only came out twice to let us know the food was “being worked on”. When the food finally came out 35 minutes later the table next to us that had the same sever might I add and sat down 15 minutes after us got there food as well… the same exact time. I asked the sever is she forgot to put our ticket in when she chuckles and says the chef had lost the ticket and she had to re enter the order. Now understandable frustrated I asked about discount and why we weren’t let know that was going on, and the sever continued to argue with me for 5 minutes before she got the manager. The manager continued to argue with me infront of the guest as well placing the blame on me.. the customer for having a “special order” even after the sever had already stated the CHEF LOST OUR TICKET. Still hadn’t touched my food and the manager insisted all she could do was take a $10 side of brocolli off of my $60 check making it now $50 and that’s the best…. after we waited 35 for food with no updates or anything. Had the sever let us know it would have never been an issue. Then to try and take my food away because I didn’t feel we should have paid is also ridiculous and UNSANITARY!

Steak was over cooked and vegetables were too salty. Sushi was bland. I could only eat a few bites of each and lost my appetite due to the disappointment. I brought a party of 6 and the bill was over $600. Very over priced.

We made it just in time for Happy Hour!
