Me and my Wife had Shack in the Back BBQ catered for our wedding at The Refinery in Indiana. Shack in the Back provided great appetizers and food for our wedding. Everyone raved about the BBQ and the variety of sauces that were offered. I would recommend to any future couples looking to get married as an option for their venue. They were great throughout the event and even picked up trash. They left couples boxes at the end of the night and packed up left overs.
My wife and I are new to KY and we we're in the area hiking and just happened to come across this place.
Menu looks great, pricing is great, and the place looks great.
And then we tried the food, I got a brisket sandwich my wife got smoked wings and banana pudding. Everything was sincerely out of this world. If your in Fairdale definitely make some time to swing by shack in the back✨️??

The turkey ribs are awesome! This is the only place I've found that serves them. The "new" place (as opposed to the old original "shack") is beautiful and also has a second floor & outside seating. I do wish they had more booths, though.
