Awesome selection of gluten free deliciousness. Hidden gem in an area where chain restaurants are the norm. I drive by here nearly every day but still hadn’t stopped in, partly because tend toward more of a carnivore diet (or at least omnivore), but it’s a Friday in Lent and warm vegetarian comfort food sounded great. Let me tell you, I didn’t miss meat in the slightest! So many different textures and flavors, and a variety of spice levels. The owners were super friendly and helped me pick out what would be gluten free (lots to choose from) and even cooked up some gluten free bread (3 kinds!) for my Thali plate. I probably ate about half of it, and am so full I may not eat again for a week. After that though, I’m sure I’ll be hitting up the drive thru now that I’ve found my favorites.

Excellent Indian food and service is beyond compare. All is vegetarian, but much is vegan. And the owner and his wife the chef are very happy to accommodate food allergies and preferences! What a nice family. You won't be disappointed and if you don't leave stuff and satisfied that will be your own fault. Look forward to coming back soon!

Thali ??Louisville is incredibly blessed to offer a dynamic potpourri, when it comes to gastronomy. And if you don't realize that, get out of your Highlands (fill in the blank) comfort zone and see what the talk is all about!Sonals is located right before Oldham county. Nestled across the Ford Plant - past Springhurst. If you haven't been, you haven't lived. And if you haven't tried Indian before, what are you doing with your life?! #allingoodhumorIn my top 5 restaurants of Louisville. I may be partial because I love Indian good. Especially, Thali style. The restaurant is ALLERGEN Friendly. They offer gluten free bread instead of Roti. Among other fantastic Allergen options. Plenty of vegan dishes and they are always happy to accommodate and whip up fresh food for your dietary needs!

Excellent food, healthy, vegetarian and always fresh. Friendly, staff is always happy to help with menu questions. They donate food regularly to the community. There is a lot of love and attention going into the food prepared. I hope they are able to open more locations some day! We need more places like this.

So many yummy, flavorful, S. India options! As a vegan, I was more than satiated. (And my doshas were settled)Rivals my fave Indian taxi stand spots in Manhattan (if you know, you know). I suggest trying the street food options & small rice bowls and the Thalis for when you're sharing or want to try a variety. A must is the Vegan tea made with coconut milk, ginger and turmeric. If anything on the menu is unfamiliar, don't hesitate to inquire. They are very warm and happy to give suggestions based on your tastes. Superb customer service!

The dabheli lacks the Gujarati connect, feel and flavour. An authentic chef is the need of the hour to churn out scrumptious dishes.

If you are looking for vegetarian food then this is the place in Louisville check it out. The difference between this place and other Indian restaurant they have different Thalis and also you can make your own. I like their way to serve Chapati’s you get hot chapatis like homemade. Also they have fresh sweets that they make it there. Super friendly staff and have knowledge about the food. I will go back and try one more time.

Some of the best Indian food I’ve had in my life! It was so easy to get a load of delicious vegan food with a side of yogurt for my non-vegan friend. As a meat eater, she declared that she didn’t miss the meat at all. A great variety of flavors and a very filling meal at a great price!

If I could give this restaurant more than 5 stars, I would! We were driving past Louisville and wanted to have some authentic Indian food. Sonals Kitchen did not disappoint. The owner was happy to help us and when we requested he make us anything he wanted, he did just that! Everything was made from scratch, fresh, and flavorful. I never missed the meat! The amazing flavors made up for it ten fold. Also, they had delicious desserts for us to try so we are now hooked on Indian desserts. This is definitely somewhere we will continue to stop when we go to Louisville.
