Each item is prepared near perfection. Each time I have been to Stoney River the items ordered are delicious. If I order an item that is a specialty it goes beyond my expectations.
Anyone looking for a wonderful meal and a great atmosphere should try Stoney River.

Everything was excellent at Stoney River! Michael's service was perfect, and both the drinks and food were outstanding. Truly a perfect dining experience.

Three of us had dinner there tonight. Everything was excellent. Steaks and lamb cooked to perfection. Crab and shrimp dip was amazing. Service was great. All around top notch experience!

Typically I like this place but was highly disappointed this trip. We usually go for dinner but today we went for brunch (for my birthday - yes, we had a reservation & there was a card). 1st…the server never acknowledged we were celebrating a birthday (which they always do). 2nd…I ordered filet med-rare & scrambled eggs. The filets medallions were way over cooked & the potatoes were over cooked and not a lot of flavor. I had to ask for a steak knife, The server never came back to fill up our water glasses until the end, and never checked to see how we liked our food (which means I was not able to eat my filets). They did remake my meal but we had to get it to-go because everyone was finished eating. And again a no acknowledgement of my birthday. This was probably the worst experience I have had at this restaurant. I KNOW they can do better.

Last night was my first time at Stoney River. I brought my family here to celebrate my college kids' successes this year. When we went we did not have reservations. When we walked in there were about 4 hostesses standing behind the counter. When we asked if they would be able to seat us they looked us over. The one hostess we were talking to kind of laughed and another hostess walked over to the first one, whispered something in her ear. Then the first one said they couldn't seat us. My daughter asked how long the wait was. The hostess paused and finally said about 30 minutes. We left because the vibe they were giving us was that they didn't want to seat us which I didn't understand. We were well dressed so I couldn't imagine it was our attire, but that was the vibe they were giving us. When we left, I told my kids it must be because we didn't have a reservation. I was trying to the hostesses the benefit of the doubt. My daughter got online and made a reservation for 30 minutes out, as we all decided we really wanted to try Stoney River. We walked back in 5 minutes before our reservation. Now there were about 5 hostesses behind the counter. I could tell from their faces that they recognized us and a couple of them were whispering again. I walked up to the counter and gave them our reservation information and they said ok. While we were eating we saw them walking by the kitchen looking at us again. This was not a look as if they were checking on us.

Our server was nice and did a good job. The food and wine were fine but I have to say the experience with the hostesses really ruined the experience that I couldn't even focus on the food. Unfortunately, we won't be back. It was the oddest experience I've ever had at a restaurant.

Had a delicious dinner with excellent service from Alan at the bar. The coffee rubbed filet was tremendous! But the New England lobster I think stole the show!

We had a 5pm reservation for a party of 4 and arrived to see several parties waiting to be seated. It’s understandable that the restaurant would be busy on Mother’s Day, but they seemed to have overbooked causing quality to fall across the board. Our party waited for about 15 minutes and were seated shortly after in the back corner of an annex room. It was chilly in the room and loud with chatter of surrounding parties. The table was folded in half underneath, which made it hard for our knees to scoot in. The table size was smaller than we've had previously. An exhausted server came to take our order asking for drink orders, appetizers, and salad orders at first pass. Thankfully, we are well-versed on Stoney River’s offerings and were ready to go. However, our starter came out immediately. We asked the person who delivered the appetizer if we could have water (still waiting on alcoholic beverages too). The server came back around shocked that it was delivered and made a comment to throw the kitchen under the bus. While delivering the waters, she asked if we wanted to go ahead and order entrees, not yet having received our cocktails. We politely requested she come back later. We were feeling like the goal was just to shove us out the door. She mentioned it would only take 15 minutes after she put the order in. Once our waters arrived, we noticed the lemon wedge on the shrimp cocktail appetizer was discolored with a gray cast on the inside. We usually delight in a lemon squeeze for shrimp cocktail and were disappointed. Our salads arrived and one was acceptable, but the wedge was hardly dressed. It usually is accompanied by a bleu cheese dressing, but this seemed to just be crumbles of cheese on dry lettuce. My wife and I both noted the lack of enjoyability compared to our four prior experiences. The alcohol was delivered after we were half through our salads. We ordered our entrees and also requested rolls at this juncture. The server came back and cleared our salad and bread plates. We reminded her we still wanted the rolls. When the rolls arrived, we were left sharing one knife and one bread plate for the whole table. Then there was some downtime. It was closer to 25-30 minute wait for our entrees after ordering. The time came for our entrees (10 oz filets) to arrive and none of us received a steak knife. We asked the man who delivered the food for knives and another plate. And then the server when she came around. She asked if someone else was getting them. It took 5-10 minutes to receive those items, which is disappointing considering we had steak and they were growing cold. By the time we were able to cut into them, they were just average. Not juicy, and definitely not warm. The whipped potatoes for the other couple was adequately prepared. My wife and I shared potatoes au gratin and they were most disappointing moment of our meal. We have loved them on previous visits. These were dry and overdone. No creaminess. They fell apart and stuck to the bottom of the pan. Additionally, we had ordered béarnaise sauce, which arrived like a paste rather than a sauce and had no hint of tarragon. I noted it was flavorless. I also struggled to receive water refills throughout the meal. I sat with an empty glass until after our entree had arrived. The server also expected folks to pick up their water glasses and grab the new utensils from her hands directly, which is fine in a casual setting, but more off-putting for this restaurant. We had been accustomed to the seamless experience. Our server also worked hard to upsell us on bottle of wine, extra sides, and desserts. Whenever we would say “no thank you”, she seemed to be unhappy in her tone or continue to over explain why we should reconsider. It was more uncomfortable than we’ve experienced in the past. We normally DO order dessert, but didn't want to have another disappointing component to an expensive meal. Had we never been to this restaurant before, I would not be interested in returning.

Walked in, they stated an hour wait, went online, booked a reservation that was available in 10 minutes. The front staff have no clue about table availability. Server showed up 15 minutes later, forgot to ask about drinks, then asked to take our order without giving a menu... and it 8:30pm, so it wasn't really that busy.

We came back tonight with the card we were mailed! And our experience was AMAZING!

We came in last night for a 7:30 reservation with 2 other friends. Our steak rolls were delicious as well as the bread but 2 of us got the coffee crusted filets medium and they came out well done and medium well the server didn't come back to check on us resulting in asking a hostess take them back and she was super sweet! The sever brings them back out and says ill bring you some boxes since you already ate when we only ate a corner and our side and requested not to have another side just the correct temp for our filets! We ate over half of the new steak and he still brought us to go containers left our water empty even after we ordered dessert. The chocolate cake was yummy as always but the creme brulee was cold and tasted burnt. And then brought 2 containers for the dessert. This is the only time i have been here and not had the most amazing service. I also called to talk to the manager and have yet to have a call back.

Another absolutely amazing dinner experience at Stoney River. Cassidy M. our server was absolutely AMAZING! She was extremely knowledgeable on menu, especially complementing sides. Probably the best service we've had a restaurant in a LONG time.
