I love their fried cauliflower, hush puppies and fries! I don't eat fish but they have good fried veggies. A little slow getting your order, but it's worth it. Get the horsey sauce to dip them in but don't put too much on it or it will go right to your sinuses lol.Vegetarian options: It isn't a healthy way to eat veggies so it's a once in a while indulgence! They have different fried veggies, my favorite is the cauliflower, They have onion rings and hush puppies too.

This was my first time here and I have to say that I am very pleased with everything. The food is hot and fresh. The service is excellent as well as the atmosphere. The restaurant is very clean, the price is good and the folks here are very friendly. You have a new customer...I will definitely be back.

The fish and chips (cod) were above average for sure. All the food was really good. I'm not a hushpuppy expert, but good ones here. Very good service. Nice clean place. The prices are decent and it's just me but I mostly always ding a place for charging over $3 for a regular sized fountain pop. The waitress was nice enough to offer me a pop to go though.

First time coming here. It happened to be the first Friday of Lent so they were really busy and I can understand why. The wait for a table was surprisingly short. The food was excellent! Great prices too! Loved everything! Will be back!

I think I have finally given up on Hungry Pelican. Ever since new people took over I have noticed the portion have gotten skimpier and skimpier. Today I had the lunch "seafood plate", and it was pathetic. Two burnt shrimp, a tiny bunch of clams and a burnt, extremely thin piece of fish that might as well have had meat in it at all. Last time I got the Pelican platter and it was the same story. I actually had to complain that time, but I guess I just won't bother. Sadly enough I worked at one of these 40 years ago, and this cutting back is what led to many of them loosing business then. Managers making more money the lower they keep food costs and customers getting screwed.

I'm not sure how this place has any good reviews. What they call shrimp cocktail was 2 warm, small boiled shrimp. Clams were this ball of half cooked, raw in the middle mass. Crab cake was cold and raw in the center. Hush puppies were bland and ice in the center. There was literally no flavor to any of the fried seafood which was everything. My wife's rolled oysters were gooey, cold and raw in the center. Can't do severely undercooked seafood. The tea was good but would've liked to have actually gotten the sweet tea with lemon that I ordered instead of the complete opposite but at least it was cooked.

I live very close to this restaurant and never went in, big mistake. I loved it, the menu has so much to choose from and everything was cooked to perfection, plus the service was good and very friendly. Because everything is really fresh they might run out of some menu items but there is plenty others to pick from. I'll be back.
My 16 yr. old daughter has food poisoning from their clam chowder .We won't be back.

I remember now why the Clarksville store closed. Catfish might have or have not been cooked completely. Very salty.Rolled oysters not all that. $32 FOR ONE PERSON AND WATER TO DRINK.WILL NOT RETURN. Kingfish is way better.
