One of our favorite places in town. The food is hearty and delicious, and the atmosphere is so warm and inviting! We love scotch eggs as an appetizer, and the fish and chips is unbeatable. Decent selection of whiskies to try in addition to an interesting rotating tap. Also, their desserts are wonderful, especially the trifle and the bread pudding. A Louisville classic!

My favorite restaurant. Everything is good. Except the parking. Go off-peak hours and you're golden.

Good food I had the fish and chips.

Vegetarian options: They have a veggie option

Parking: It's kinda of snug parking if you don't get there early.

Kid-friendliness: There's some children in the restaurant.

Scotch eggs are a bear to make at home so these hit the spot and the octoberfest paired well.

Yesterday my husband and I had dinner at The Irish Rover. This has been a Crescent Hill/Clifton staple for many years. The service was fantastic. Our server Jacob was very attentive and very friendly. My only disappointment was the charge for bread, while has been something that accompanied your meal at no cost before. It’s a little disheartening that they would now require a charge for something which should be free. We ordered the Cordon Bleu Fritters which are unique and delicious. I’d describe them as hushpuppies with ham and cheese. For our main entree, I ordered the Fish & Chips and my husband ordered the Pub Burger and Irish chips (steak fries). Our dinner was quite delicious and the atmosphere was cozy and charming as usual.

The three most important things you should know:
1. Fish & Chips is everything you have heard.
2. Live Busker music led music on Wednesdays.
3. The owner/bartender Mike & Mike team are unstoppable.

Parking: Park and charge your vehicle for FREE in the city funded two plug ins next in between Con Huevos and The Irish Rover.
