We arrived about 45 mins after they opened for lunch on a Sunday. The entire restaurant was freezing. After being sat down at the table we sat a few minutes before chips were brought out. Then 5 minutes or more after that a different person brought water and walked away. Then about 7 minutes after that a different guy asked for our entire order at once. My son’s taco was wrong so I had to remove some ingredients, because no one came back to check on us, and the taco was so over cooked it poked his gums badly and the meat was very dried out. My quesadilla was very greasy and the cheese was congealed. The portions were very small for the cost. Then no one checked on us for a long while. Finally I got my card out and had them go ahead and just run it without bringing the check. He then brought it back with no pen and quickly walked away. We waited for about 5 minutes to get a pen and still didn’t come back. The quality of the ingredients were just bad. Both of our stomachs weren’t right after. We finally just left and noticed no workers as we walked out. This was our second try since they opened here and we won’t be back. Very sad because it s a great location and patio.

The servers were extremely short and rude. After we were seated they left us for 20mins and ignored us. We flagged down multiple employees who told us they didn’t speak English. Asked one for the manager in Spanish, he walked off and never returned. My husband finally got up and went to the bar asking why we were being ignored and then they sent a server to our table who you could tell didn’t want to service us. He gaslight us and blamed us for them sitting us there saying “ no one knew what you guys were doing” when I explained they in fact sat us there he cut me off and said are you ready to order or not. We arrived at 8:25pm and didn’t get our drink orders in until 8:50pm. When asking him about the menu, he got frustrated with us sighing and physically looking annoyed. We had never been there and my husband has food allergies so I wanted to make sure we didn’t get anything he was allergic too. They were only quick giving us the bill and taking our payment. Food was good but experience alone we will never be back.

This place has the best vegetarian tacos! They are seasoned really well and taste so much better than other Mexican restaurants’ -who just seem to sautee some peppers and put it in a tortilla.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian street tacos -I added cheese

A step up from your run-of-the mill Mexican restaurant. Good food, fair pricing, big portions, amazing staff and service.Parking: Free street parking on Frankfort Ave, but also decent sized lot in back of building with ramp in back.

Beware of extra fee! Average everything but the worst part was when we were charged a "fee" for using a credit card. Too many places to go for Mexican food to give this place another chance. Had the food been better or anything even somewhat special, I'd reconsider, but at this point I'd suggest going elsewhere--especially if you don't keep cash on hand.

Server brought wrong beer, insisted it was right. It sure didn't taste right! When time to pay, brought out one check for 3 of us. We said "Seperate checks", but server said manager "closed the ticket," but she (the server) would do the math. Well, two of us got charged for wrong food items, so we had to involve another server!Server appeared ill and tired, so that may explain the less than steller service.

Burrito was good and big. Price is nice. Split a pitcher of margaritas and left feeling stuffed. Wild children running around kinda made it not as fun as it should be.

Friendly service on my visit. Atmosphere suffered on my visit because the place was a ghost town, but that assured the luxury of above no wait. Food was decent (comparable to many other Mexican restaurants in town)— really good guacamole. Overall decent joint. Didn’t stand out for new, but holds its own.Parking: While in an area with free street parking, a small rear lot is also available.Wheelchair accessibility: I noticed a new wooden ramp constructed to access the rear entrance.

Food Order: Combination-Tamale and Chili Relleno- No drinks ---------------------------------- BEANS Ordered charro beans side-got a plate of refried bean paste smeared on plate-waiter brought me black beans when I complained The black beans were LOADED with salt-so much so that they ere not edible ---------------------------------- RICE Dry, unseasoned, tasteless, small scoop portion ---------------------------------- CHILI RELLENO OMG! Very GREASY! ---------------------------------- TAMALE Looked like it was reheated-meat was extra brown and dry-I wish I had taken a photo-it was not at all fresh ---------------------------------- CHIPS AND SALSA Chips were just ok but I did not want to eat a lot-spicy salsa was star of the show ---------------------------------- SERVICE Not very attentive service-we ordered, food was delivered-beans redelivered, we were asked if we wanted a take out box. Check came promptly. Note: They charge a $0.90 service charge to use a credit card. Food came out about 10-15 minutes after being ordered-but it was luke warm-I wish it were made to order. Each plate looked pre-composed of refried bean paste smear and small scoop of rice-then entree choice added to plate. All just barely warm. ---------------------------------- AMBIANCE I went to the previous restaurant at this location and had a better experience. I was there on a Friday evening and the place was not very busy-people on the patio dining b/c weather was nice-few in restaurant indoor. Decor is a weird and kitchy mix of maybe Tex-Mexican. Relatively clean. I wish food was authentic, fresh and and tasty but it was NOT. People greeted at door upon entering and exiting. There was an accessibility ramp with hand rails to back door entrance, which may need painting and repair after this winter but it's a plus for those needing easy access for whatever reason. The parking lot is small but was not crowded on the Friday evening I visited at about 8:00 p.m. (when I visited the previous restaurant they were so busy I had to park on the street b/c back parking lot so full). I know the food industry has suffered since the pandemic so I want to be kind and fair to businesses in the industry. If I had a suggestion it would be to focus on the quality of the food as far as authenticity and freshness. Also, get some servers who hustle and know how to wait tables and check on customers they are serving. Also, I don't think I am supposed to pay the surcharge for the credit card -the business should. If they do not like to accept credit cards maybe they should be a cash only establishment but they would struggle to stay competitive. I wish them luck on this new venture but to me, this is not a place run by seasoned restauranteurs. Sorry to say I probably would give the experience a negative rating but to submit the review I have to give the minimal star of one.
