We have enjoyed Heirloom many times, but our experience can be hit-or-miss. We've concluded that the busier the night, the more likely things will fall below their own high standards. Last night (a Saturday), the mussels came out lukewarm and quickly turned cold. They were properly cooked, but had just been sitting too long without keeping them warm. The lamb shank, served at the same time, was the perfect temperature. We'd also love to see Heirloom upgrade its bread...
Another great night at Heirloom. The soup du jour was Roasted Red Pepper with Smoked Provolone. It was fantastic. We shared a Mushroom Stuffed Ravioli with an Over Easy Egg on top. Great flavor combinations. For dinner we shared the special of the night, Ribeye served over Haricot Vert over Potato Pave. The steak also had Bearnaise sauce over the top. Wonderful meal and wonderful place.
