Great selection of drinks. A full menu of at least 15 on tap plus mixed drinks. Beards and bellies also makes good bar food. We always get the bread pudding, the chocolate and caramel are heavenly. The beer cheese and pretzels are also good if you want something more salty than sweet. Good selection of soda for my husband who doesn't drink. Good place for families. Never had to wait for a table like going here in the summer too as there are picnic tables outside. Smoking is allowed. Wheelchair and stroller friendly.

Beers were AWESOME, food not so much.... Since Wooden Cask specializes more in British Isles-styled beer, most beer selections are malty, not hoppy (like IPAs), which is right up my alley!!! The Beards and Bellies Barbecue is within the same building and you can order beer and food separately. I ordered the sliders trio, but the meat on the sliders was so fatty that I couldn't even eat half of it! My friend ordered the ribs and his were also really fatty and not even worth eating. The food tasted good, but was a waste when cheap fatty cuts of meat were used and half was inedible.

Can we talk about how awesome Greg is? Homie brought out the brisket he’s serving on Sunday (brb… in literally 2 days… when I can eat it), a truly amazing desert, and the food was completely on point. Beers were varied & amazing, didn’t sample the whiskey but the selection was through the roof. This place is so great & I’m so glad we stumbled upon it! Easily on our list of Newport spots that’s we “gotta hit”every time we’re here!
I've been here a few times. I've enjoyed myself both times. Very laid-back atmosphere. About two or three blocks from Newport on the levee. Great bourbon, selection and cocktail selection as well as a craft brewery. The beer has been excellent. Many different styles, including stouts, porters and berry infused, beers. They have food as well. I have not tried it, but it looks delicious. Highly recommend if you are going to a Reds or Bengals game or near Newport on the levee.

Got here late on a Saturday night, and it took a while before a server showed up behind the bar. Once he arrived, I got some beers and sat on the patio. A very good red Ale. Worth the wait.
