Had ice cream and sandwiches today from the owensboro location not only was it delicious but the service was top tier and the store was squeaky clean will definitely be back 😋

I have childhood memories here. There's nothing you can order here that won't please you!

Moved here recently from Florida and went out to get a dipped top soft serve. The Big Dipper did t have them (what!?)!So we got the dipped balls from Liks. They were delicious! I think you need to have a monthly dipped ball special. Like thin mint ice cream dipped!!! I'd buy them!

The fact that a place like Lic's has the audacity to make a club sandwich, chips and a drink over 18 dollars. Insane!!! will not be back. Wasn't even good!!

We have been loyal customers for a while and I will say over the last 2 months the service here has been horrible! Multiple occasions we have ordered their salads to get home and find no bread, no chicken, no apples, and no dressing. It’s even gotten to the point where we went over an hour before closing to find the doors locked and the kids in there laughing at us from inside. Needless to say tonight did us in. Ordered salad I checked before we drove off no chicken. Went in to let them know and got home to cold refrigerated chicken and no apples. $30 for that… Not again!

Everything I get here is great. Just frustrating that they are out of bananas every time we go. Doesn’t matter what time of day, they always seem to be out of bananas. It’s been like this for a couple months now.

This is a great spot for ice cream and a sandwich. The burger is delicious! Great quality on the patty and the bun. The staff works really hard to serve everyone. The chococremes were amazing.

I work near by and have stopped by there quite often but literally almost every time I stop they are out of what I am wanting to order. They are ALWAYS out of waffle bowls and cones (which the bowl is my favorite and why I choose to go there). Maybe once out of every 5 times I stop, do they actually have them. I can understand every now and then running out (if that was the case I wouldn’t be leaving this rating) but they are out more than they have them. It’s quite ridiculous. They also do not have the friendliest employees. You expect a place like this to be overly nice and bubbly but they are not. And to top it off, I sat at the window today for 18 min for just an ice cream cone (not a waffle bowl bc of course they were out).

I normally don't give bad reviews but I was not very pleased with some of the staff. I have visited this place multiple times and each time I always had a good experience except for today. Their ice cream is delicious; however, Some of the staff members were really rude and very unprofessional today. I ordered two kid ice cream cups with the gummy worms. Naturally, I assumed it was Vanilla ice cream that came with it. I was not aware that you get to pick a flavor nor did the employee that took my order told me to do so. I even saw her put two cups down. Once I paid, I asked for a receipt and felt ignored as they didn't give me one. No big deal until I didn't receive my kids two cups. They were crying about it too. I asked the same employee where is the cups at and she said I didn't pay for them because I didn't pick a flavor but I assumed it came with Vanilla and didn't know I had too. And I even saw that she put them down. So at this point, I am irritated and I know what I saw. But I am not going to say anything. I ordered two kids cups with Vanilla flavor with gummy worm again. I went back to where my kids and their grandmother was and I was talking to my kids grandmother and not for everyone to hear and I told her that I did mention the two kids cups when I first ordered. Little did I know this same employee heard my conversation that was not meant for her to hear. They gave my kids their cups and the exact same employee turns to me and mentions loudly and rudely that she was the one who took the ice creams off my order because I didn't choose a flavor. How is a paying customer supposed to know to choose a flavor if the employee didn't mention for me to choose one to begin with? I was upset, hurt, and frustrated. I don't visit Owensboro often but if I decide to ever come back, I refuse to come back at this ice cream place ever again.

I’ve been going to Lic’s for years as it has always been a staple in the community. Took my daughter here for her birthday and the new owners have done some great things to the place. Same great establishment while introducing some new things!! We will be back!

This has become one of my favorite spots in Owensboro. It has a cute diner vibe and the most delicious food. Ever sandwiche I have tried has been phenomenal! The ice cream sundaes are also incredible and you can pick any.ice cream flavor. My favorite is coconut and the little brownie bites take it to the next level!

I do not recommend the Reuben. It has some kind of nasty mustard on it!! Who puts mustard on a Reuben? They clearly do not know how to make one. This was the one and only time I will be going to this place.

My wife and I decided to eat at Lics tonight for dinner. We both ordered two turkey bacon ranch HOT subs and got this. Just cold white bread with a slither of meat. The craziest part of it is that it was over $30 bucks. Never will I ever eat at this place again. It’s just glorified cafeteria food
