About Yak and Yeti Himalayan Cuisine - Owensboro

Yak and Yeti Himalayan Cuisine offers a welcoming space that smelled delicious upon entry. The restaurant serves large portions of food that is very good, with vegan and vegetarian options available. Guests have enjoyed several appetizers, including pakora, crispy fried vegetables with tamarind sauce, and a traditional Nepalese chicken wonton, steamed, with an orange sauce. The butter chicken and shrimp curry with level 2 spice were highlights, along with plain naan that was a blend of crunchy and bouncy. The Chana masala with two loaves of bhatura was a great surprise, with the bhatura being a crazy size. The Himalayan soup was good and a nice palette cleaner. Service was very good, and the staff are very nice and accommodating, especially for those with dietary restrictions who need alpha gal friendly options. The food was served hot and was plentiful. Without a reservation, timing was lucky, but reservations will be made for large parties in the future. Many are looking forward to their next visit and will definitely be back.

I was nervous going in-I'm a bit picky, unfortunately, and am on the spectrum and have some texture issues with food. I enjoyed the butter chicken at a 3-i could have gone to a 5 even I think. I tried pakora-crispy fried vegetables with the tamarind sauce. they were very good, also tried traditional Nepalese chicken wonton, steamed,...read full review
I went to the new yak and yeti Himalayan in town! Apparently one of the workers recognized me from when I went in Evansville so it was super nice to see him!

Okay for an appetizer I got the Himalayan soup and while it was good, I don't think I'll get it again because it just wasn't for me. I will say that it's a really good palette cleaner especially if you got coffee or a sweet treat before coming like I did.

For my entree, I got the shrimp curry with level 2 spice...read full review
Food was very good. I was not sure what spicy level I should try so I started with 2. It was my first time there. I will order a 3 next time the 2 was not that spicy. I don't know how big of change there is between levels
