Pig in a Poke Paintsville is a local restaurant that offers a homey and friendly atmosphere. The reviews indicate that the service is attentive, with staff members described as particularly friendly and genuinely friendly. The restaurant's cleanliness was also noted as a positive, with good music level and Pepsi products available. While the food quality received mixed reviews, some enjoyed the tasty and satisfying dishes, particularly the brisket sandwich, brisket mac and cheese, cornbread, and the Smokehouse Burger, which some customers prefer rare. The collard greens and catfish taco were also mentioned positively. However, one reviewer expressed disappointment over a small charge for butter. The pulled chicken was noted as already having sauce on it, with a preference for just smoked.
