“Harrods Creek Tavern is one of those gems that just feels perfect. It has that welcoming vibe where everyone seems to know everyone, almost like stepping into an episode of Cheers. The atmosphere and staff is laid-back and friendly, and they’ve even got slots inside if you’re feeling lucky.

The food is fantastic. My wife ordered the potato salad and a grilled chicken sandwich; both were excellent, especially the potato salad. I went with the fried bologna sandwich, and it was absolutely awesome. Great portions, great flavor, and exactly what you want from a spot like this.

Whether you drive in or pull your boat right up to their dock, Harrods Creek Tavern is worth the trip. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to come back to again and again.“

“it's pretty much the best community driven thing since ever. the super dope friendly regulars come, well, regularly, and the trolls who try to ruin it for everyone realize no one wants them here so they don't come back. it's this vicious cycle of good vibes feeding into themselves that has created this incredible community. the alcovians are we like to call ourselves. if you're like me and not usually social, check out the karaoke bar next door first and loosen up there and then migrate on over to alcove when you feel more comfortable! don't even get me started on the food. papu chos is THE BEST food I've had in my life. “Had a great experience at World of Beer last night! My friend and I sat at the bar, and Brian took awesome care of us the whole time. Super friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in.

We shared the mac and cheese bites, both got smash burgers with fries, and finished with the Triple Chocolate Brownie Tower. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The drinks were awesome too, especially the Intro to Hops flight and the Lexington Bourbon Barrel Ale.

“We stopped by Saints Pizza Pub & SkyBar on a Friday evening while hanging out with friends in Louisville and looking for a new bar to try. We ended up really liking the place. It has a fun, relaxed pub vibe inside, with a good bar setup and plenty of drink options, especially if you like trying different beers.

We ordered a few things to share, including the Spinach & Artichoke Dip, Buffalo Chicken Dip, pizza, and wings. Everything came out good and worked well for a group since we were mostly there to snack, talk, and enjoy the evening. The dips were a nice start, the wings were flavorful, and the pizza was exactly the kind of food you want at a casual bar hangout.

What we liked most was the overall atmosphere. It didn’t feel too formal or rushed, so it was a nice spot to sit around, have a few beers, and catch up with friends. Definitely a good place in St. Matthews if you’re looking for pizza, wings, drinks, and an easygoing place to spend a Friday night.

“Late night meal didn't disappoint we came in around 915pm and it was starting to get the bar crawl crowd around 10pm not rowdy just got more busy. Food was still great and service was more than expected even after it got busy. Our guy Ben did a super job was a good late night dinner.“

I was just looking through pictures of when meand and one of my girls went there a few weekends ago and it was so much fun. the bartender was so sweet and personable, the dj played really fun music and the vibes were exactly what we wanted. “I do NOT recommend this place. We went with a party of 15 this afternoon and had a truly disappointing, awful experience. We arrived shortly after they opened. We were the only ones on the outside patio the entire visit (just shy of 3 hours) and the inside dining room never got very busy, but you'd never guess by how terrible the service was. It took nearly 2 hours for (most of) our food to come out, and even then, several orders were wrong. Our drinks were rarely filled. Our waitress and other staff may have been stretched too thin, but did the manager ever come out to speak with us or try to make things right even once? nope! The food and beer prices are high and not worth the price. (Food arrived cool and tasted ok... not worth the prices.) No apologies were offered before we left after paying our expensive tabs. We will not be back. Don't waste your time! They clearly don't care about getting return customers.“

Only reason I gave it a four star for the atmosphere was because I felt the music was just a little bit too loud for my liking, however to be fair, they did have a variety of outdoor seating I just chose to sit in the shade. Overall very positive experience, and it's directly across the street when you walk over the Ohio River on The pedestrian boulevard coming from Louisville. So super convenient location. Also want to give them credit for putting bike racks in front of their restaurant. That was a nice touch. To make it friendly for bike riders.“

“Was there Monday for karaoke and had a great time. The DJ had the crowd engaged all night and people were clearly enjoying themselves. The sudden wave of negative reviews doesn’t reflect what actually happened and honestly feels more targeted than genuine. “For my sons birthday, Jacob Withrow ,he wanted family to meet at the Village Anchor (10 of us ) We all have been raving over how good the food was after we left there yesterday. It all came out in a timely manner and done the way we asked , and Bravo to the chef. Our waitress Melissa was fantastic she was on to of everything and made sure we all were taken care of and happy . My husband is very picky when it comes to food and he was absolutely gives 10 stars to the Village Anchor. We all said we would make the 2 1/2 hour drive to eat there again.
