And the ice cream… absolutely delicious! The flavors made it nearly impossible to choose — which just means we’ll happily be back again and again. Every detail felt thoughtful, from the quality of the ice cream to the experience they’ve created in the heart of downtown Richmond.

The BEST ice cream you could ever dream of. Poppy’s is more than an ice cream and an entire experience. From the tiles on the floor to the door handles, you can tell they thought of everything. It feels like a break from the rush of everyday and a sweet treat in a charming place. There’s something for everyone from homemade waffle cones, Mimi’s hot fudge cake(HIGHLY RECOMMEND), ice cream nachos, to the OG single scoop in a cup.

Me and some kiddos came in to celebrate the end of the school year and we had so much fun. From singing along with the radio, playing with the word wall and even overall decor, we loved our visit. Downtown Richmond has been needing a place like this.

These people who were on the ice cream truck served ice cream to everyone else at the EKU stadium accept middle schoolers. When a few of the students from middle school came up and asked, the server rudely declined, and then when a few others came up, someone said that their cousin owned the store, and then they got free ice cream. It was unfair to give out free merchandise to one, and not to others who were willing to pay.
