This is not your normal family place this like a place for the drunkers and today I place a order over the phone they told me 20 minutes when I showed up to pick up the lady said someone else’s need a same order I give yours to him if you can wait 25-30 minutes I’ll have another one ready this is very unprofessional please don’t waist your time with this crazy people

This may be the most authentic Mexican food to be found in Kentucky. I recognized some of the food on the menu but most of it was not American Mexican fare. I ordered a dish I had never heard of. It was wonderful. The server didn't understand most of what we said but that didn't matter much. We will return.

Great small semi hidden spot Mexico inspired feel at home restaurant. Great food every dish I've tried was excellent. I've really recommend the rotisserie chicken. Great service and friendly people

Very good Mexican Restaurant, the girl running the counter didn't understand much English but she was very good service and always checked on our drinks and chips, all at a very reasonable price!
Not sure why I only gave this place 4 stars before. This Mexican place has consistently been my favorite in Shelby county. A guy I worked with asked me how you find the good Mexican places. I said look for the place with a lot of ladder trucks parked out front at lunch time. If you go into a Mexican place a see a bunch of people that look like me you are in the wrong place. Unless you actually see me. This place has great chorizo. Tacos come with cucumber slices and the salsas are excellent. The green is a jalapeño emulsion with a bit of heat. The red is a smoky dried chili salsa. They have changed the chip salsa to a tomato based salsa. It is delicious. I had a pastor sope. It was awesome. Beans, cheese, lettuce, onions, tomato and crema. The pastor was really good. Spicy and a little sweet. They were loading up the smoker for dinner while I was there. This place is definitely a great spot if you happen to be in Shelbyville.
