“I haven't been here in probably 10years. I remember the pizza, particularly the crust being top notch. I believe they've changed the recipe, though it was still very good. I hated that they didn't have a menu, we had to scan the little code on our phone to see what to order and worse we had to scan a separate little code to see the drinks, so I went with water and bypassed one scan. Otherwise, there weren't really any complaints. It was quite busy. Everyone seemed friendly enough and it was your typical sports bar without much memorabilia on the walls. The food was good, ok portions, average prices.“

“it's pretty much the best community driven thing since ever. the super dope friendly regulars come, well, regularly, and the trolls who try to ruin it for everyone realize no one wants them here so they don't come back. it's this vicious cycle of good vibes feeding into themselves that has created this incredible community. the alcovians are we like to call ourselves. if you're like me and not usually social, check out the karaoke bar next door first and loosen up there and then migrate on over to alcove when you feel more comfortable! don't even get me started on the food. papu chos is THE BEST food I've had in my life. TLDR just go to alcove already“

“I do NOT recommend this place. We went with a party of 15 this afternoon and had a truly disappointing, awful experience. We arrived shortly after they opened. We were the only ones on the outside patio the entire visit (just shy of 3 hours) and the inside dining room never got very busy, but you'd never guess by how terrible the service was. It took nearly 2 hours for (most of) our food to come out, and even then, several orders were wrong. Our drinks were rarely filled. Our waitress and other staff may have been stretched too thin, but did the manager ever come out to speak with us or try to make things right even once? nope! The food and beer prices are high and not worth the price. (Food arrived cool and tasted ok... not worth the prices.) No apologies were offered before we left after paying our expensive tabs. We will not be back. Don't waste your time! They clearly don't care about getting return customers.“

“We were driving through and had to stop for the night, this place was great. The only problem was the AC was not working that night. But Haley the bartender was such a sweet lady, and the rest of the patrons we're nice to get along with. If you would like a nice neighborhood bar AKA a dive I would totally suggest this place“

“This is exactly what I wanted in an Irish pub. Bartenders are great, very welcoming, and the cook did a great job with our bar snacks. We did revisit a second day as it was nice stop on our trip out. They are also pet friendly and they have their own little menu!“

“For my sons birthday, Jacob Withrow ,he wanted family to meet at the Village Anchor (10 of us ) We all have been raving over how good the food was after we left there yesterday. It all came out in a timely manner and done the way we asked , and Bravo to the chef. Our waitress Melissa was fantastic she was on to of everything and made sure we all were taken care of and happy . My husband is very picky when it comes to food and he was absolutely gives 10 stars to the Village Anchor. We all said we would make the 2 1/2 hour drive to eat there again. “Laid back lunch on a Friday. Nice breeze through the porch. Service was friendly and efficient. Thanks Mo! Tunes were a great background. Ruben was fantastic(try the mustard) burger was huge and tasty. Beer ice cold. Had some nice Pappy pours at the bar, as well.
Would recommend and will return.“
