El Jinete Mexican Restaurant

Went to El Jinete for the first time. Ordered it to go as we had just bought fish next door. When we got home we realized that the food was made incorrectly. Called the store to let them know and the guy on the phone says to bring the food back in and he can help. I explain that I do live 20 min away and they close in 10 minutes is he going to stay open he says no. I asked if I can bring it in the morning then. He says no. I ask what can happen then as my order was $62.50, $67.50 when you add the tip I left (even tho it was Togo). He says they don’t know what I did to the food unless I bring it back now. But that they aren’t staying open for me to bring it back. I ask what we can do then and he repeats bring the food back and I say I will but that it will take me 20 to get there and repeats they will be closed… I look on my bank account and see they also charged me more than what my order was he replied sorry about that. When I ask again what can I do. He says that’s all I can do. I asked what he can do and he says nothing. When I told him I was going to leave a review online he says is that a threat and hangs up!!

Love the food here. Always fresh and very tasty.

My husband and I went there for dinner. We ordered the fajita for two without the shrimp, it was priced on the menu for 32.99. We received our bill they charged us 39.99. We would’ve been better off getting 2 separate fajitas for that price. When I asked the manager about the price she said it was an up charge because we were getting more meat, I said but we left off the shrimp. I asked her to show me any fajita on the menu for 39.99. She couldn’t…. They did nothing to honor the price on the menu. I do not recommend this restaurant.

I Ordered two Texan Fajita’s they were delicious!! Customer service was Great and the atmosphere was nice and clean. They are also having a Bengal tailgate party this Sunday under a tent outside with food, drinks, and games for all :-)

We have been eating here for year and use to love going in or getting take out. But it seems like prices keep going up and portions continue to get smaller. This past experience has made me never want to order from here again. 2 of our 4 meals were wrong. We were told oh nothing we can do unless you bring it up here. Also the guy answering the phone is rude and doesn’t say anything until you say anything so you don’t even know if you called the right number until you ask. All around just gone down hill.

I like it, a Letter with a lot of variety and many kinds of drinks.
