This food made my southern girl soul feel good. Service was fast and friendly. Everything was so delicious. Will be back!

Limited menu, have to get drinks from the bar next door. Snooty service. The put 30% tips on bills, so watch out.

We were here at lunchtime on a Wednesday and were able to find a table quickly unlike the time we came on a Saturday. That’s a plus. It’s more than a dessert place as they have sandwiches and soup. The 1/2 pimento sandwich was good and the bean soup OK. It also came with cornbread since I picked the bean soup. I believe I liked the cornbread better than the soup. But whatever you do consider getting a dessert. Their peanut butter pie is rich and creamy. Their cookies looked pretty tempting, too.

Solid lunch stop along the drive. Good food but nothing to make a special trip for - soup beans, cornbread, and a pimiento cheese sandwich. Washed it down with an Orange Cream Ale 8. Probably the most Kentucky lunch I've ever had. Will give it another go on ky next trip thru the area.

Everything we've tried has been great; the only thing lacking were the chicken tenders. The flavor was good but unfortunately they were cooked too hard. We gave them a second chance just a few weeks later when someone else in our party ordered them - again they were on the tougher side. Otherwise we love this place and plan to come back often!

Now matter what delectible sandwich you choose for lunch, BUY THE COOKIES! Get extras to have later. Get a whole bag, enough to share, but don't give any away without trying them, you might not have purchased enough to share. These treasures are locally made by Midway Bakery. The Sorgum Cookies were my favorite. Lunch sandwiches were great and big enough to share. We would certainly go back...in fact two people in our party did return for lunch the very next day!

Eat at this restaurant probably once a month. Was happy to see they have not raised many of their prices. But, the delicious hamburger has shrunk by about 2 ounces of meat I would guess. I know it is hard times for restaurants, but do they really think we will not notice this? Just communicate with your customers. Wish they would bring back the live music also.

We loved Wallace Station! The food, especially the pie, was fantastic! We weren't surprised to see that Guy Fieri has visited there and featured it on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. It's worth the trip!

The history alone makes this a worthwhile stop, but the good food, kind staff, and outdoor seating area make it 5-stars. Don't sleep on the cookies.

The local librarian suggested this place for lunch. It was a long drive from WILMORE KY But we enjoyed the sandwich. we waited a long time for our meal and it was obvious that the locals know the wait is worth while.

During our visit to Louisville we made a point to seek out Wallace Station after my husband read about it in a travel article. It's tucked away out in the KY horse farm area. Wow, this place is busy. Huge sandwiches and yummy bakery items. So good we came back 2 days later. Not much indoor seating but we snagged inside seats on both our visits since one time it was too hot outside and the other time it was raining out. Lots of outdoor seating too. Hope we get to come back someday.

Being Guy Fieri fans (my youngest is glued to Diners, Drive Ins and Dives) we always hit up a few locations on road trips. Wallace Station is by far the best spot so far and is now on our permanent "must stop" list. We ordered online to avoid crowds and we needed it to go. My bad on timing, it sat for a bit (saw another review mentioning they need a warmer - I agree). Regardless of temp slightly cooled, the food was amazing. My son got the Mediterranean wrap - well portioned, fresh and tasty combo. Next up was the Inside Out Hot Brown - well balanced, juicy, savory - the perfect ratio. I got the Famous Big Brown Burger because it is what Guy had when he was there. Again, perfectly balanced. The burger was cooked well, the ratios were right on target and the cheddar mornay added the right amount of moisture and unexpected twist to the mouth watering combination. The coleslaw was tasty - fresh, crunchy, perfect amount of creaminess (not too heavy) and not over powering. The absolute winner of the meal though was my hubby's Wallace Cubano. It was mouth-pleasing goodness in every bite The absolute best comfort sandwich bursting with juicy tenderness and a mouth thrilling flavor profile. I only got two bites - I was tempted to go in and order another one, but it will be my excuse to head back soon (despite living 7 hours away!). The Old Frankfurt Highway is a welcome detour as well - lots of beautiful countryside to enjoy. Next time, we will definitely try the baked goods as well!

This place is famous around town for a reason! Tiny, unassuming and just between Versailles and Midway. The food was awesome. My mom and I shared the Rachel and their ham and pimiento cheese sandwiches, dad had the special burger. All three were delicious and piping hot. The ham and pimiento cheese was far and away our favorite. The country ham was so lean and flavorful and the cheese had a great flavor. I've tried a few different pimiento cheeses and haven't loved them - well Ouita's is my new fave! We got fries too - so tasty and simple. Dad got the chips and I was pleasantly surprised to see they serve Zapp's. Zapp's are the best chips! Final note on the food - do not skip the soup. We shared the creamy chicken and mushroom and it was easily one of the best soups we've ever had. So creamy, so full of flavor and with big chunks of chicken and mushrooms. Outstanding!

This little gem was recommended by somebody in Louisville. My husband and I decided to pay a visit after visiting Woodford reserve. We were delighted to hear when Sandy, the general manager, said that they have freshly made gluten-free muffins that sandwiches could be made on. I must say, the muffins were soft and moist and most importantly, did not fall apart as I was eating my sandwich. I had the Rachel sandwich which was absolutely yummy while my husband, had the guy Ferrari burger, the brown burger. Knowing my husband and I were both gluten-free, Sandy brought over a couple of their gluten-free baked items which were absolutely decadent and delicious. How very thoughtful! We would highly recommend this establishment to anybody who wanted great service and great food. Thank you Sandy for making us feel so welcome.

I consider this my neighborhood restaurant but Ouita needs to spend some time training the employees to be courteous and conscientious. Also, a food warmer needs to be installed if you have to wait over a half hour to get food brought to you. We visited with my daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren from out of town. It was 11am so it was not very busy yet and we're able to walk right in and place our order. We sat outside and for the first 15 minutes my 2.5 year old granddaughter had fun running around but soon we were wondering where our food was. We waited another 15 minutes and saw people who were in line behind us getting their food. My husband went in to ask when we were going to be served and they said we already had been served! Very discourteous attitude, I think we would have known!!! He looked and saw our order sitting there and pointed it out. Another five minutes and it was finally brought out to us but they didn't have my granddaughter's grilled cheese. We waited another five minutes(an hour to a 2.5 year old) and it was finally brought out and was barely warm, cheese not melted. Our sandwiches were brought out cold, that's why a warming station is needed. I know it can get very busy there but it was not at that time and there is no excuse. My husband is a retired executive chef so he knows how a restaurant is supposed to be run. Unfortunately it will be a while before we go back. The remodeling looks good inside.
