“My family and I are from California but we recently moved to Louisiana. A friend suggested this place so we gave it a try. The atmosphere is a great vibe and the food was top notch. We had the tuna nachos, the filet, and the Mediterranean pasta. I highly recommend all of them. Ryan was our server and made us feel like we were at home. The owners came by and made sure our experience was 10/10. It definitely was and we will be back for date night soon!“

“We stopped in for lunch today, and the special was meatloaf. It was to die for! All the sides looked wonderful, and between the two of us, hubby and I sampled the mashed potatoes, rice, gravy, green beans, Mac and cheese, mustard greens, and yams. Everything was just like our mamas cooked it. Friendly dining area, and you just cannot go wrong with a stopover when you're in town. Love it!“

“As if I didn’t already love this place enough but we ordered a tray for a Mardi Gras ball but accidentally called it in to the wrong location. Ms.Maria said “we got it no problem”. “I can NOT SAY ENOUGH WONDERFUL THINGS about the Mother’s Day buffet. My family enjoyed the phenomenal Easter buffet and looked forward to the Mother’s Day; let me say, we were impressed once again. So many wonderful things I could not sample everything but here are my favorites 1. The eggs Benedict … this delicious golden yolk cascaded down, mingling with the silky thyme hollandaise to infuse into the soft English muffin…. Absolute delish!!! 2. The shrimp and grits …. Perfectly cooked spicy shrimp with Gouda grits was a testimony to why southern Louisiana cuisine reigns supreme …. And the Monica sauce elevates it to elegance while still your tummy is pampered with down home comfort. 3. The fried fish! This is a chef’s secret because it was not traditional fried fish. Whatever the secret, it delivered scrumptiousness in every crispy tender bite! Oh and don’t forget the homemade tartar sauce! 4. …… and the perfectly cooked Prime Rib! with the amazing horseradish sauce to complement … definitely a show stopper 5. The ambiance…. The service as always great …..Which seems to be part of the family atmosphere….. and the soft jazz …..taking it from just dining with family to Mother’s Day memories“

“Appetizers were great wedge salad off the chart, marinated rib eye was just okay taste more like a Hawaiian steak. Will go back again and order rib eye with lobster shrimp and cream sauce. Creme brulee awesome. Wife was not a fan of her trout with maple sauce.“

“Coming from the east coast we were dying to have a good sub. We were spoiled with Publix subs (IYKYK). Poboy express came highly recommended by locals and we tried it today for lunch! Absolutely did not disappoint! Jimmy the owner was so welcoming and helped direct us to the exact sub we were looking for! I got the super Cajun and my husband got the rajun Cajun! They were fantastic! Cat fish was so fresh and the homemade tater sauce with delicious! Oh and the fries..one of a kind! Don’t skip the fresh baked cookies!!! Jimmy made sure we were throughly satisfied and takes so much pride in his business! It really shows! We will be back!“

“This place kind of reminds me of the waffle house. The food here is better than the waffle house.

I have only eaten at the waffle house once, but I would eat here again and again.

Our server from Tunk's told us this is the breakfast place in Alexandria. This place didn't disappoint, and the food came out hot and fast.

It's a little honky-tonk for me, and that's why the atmosphere rating is low. Everything else is amazing... especially the food!!!“
