Discrimination. Poor Service. I have been a loyal customer for years. This morning an older waitress totally ignored me. I watched her meet and greet other customers as they came in after me. It was obvious that there was a difference in race. I was ignored by by the waitress over 20+ minutes. I requested to speak to the manager. All he did was make excuses. Told me he would replay the camera. I felt that he implied I was not telling the truth. He went on to say he is in the back. I left without eating and no satisfaction. The manager made no effort to correct this insulting situation.This was an awful way to start the day. I strongly encourage Atwood's to improve their customer service. Discrimination is illegal. We stopped in this little gem on our way to a convention in New Orleans. What a cute little eatery/bakery. Not only was the food delicious, the employees were the friendliest and provided superior customer service. We really enjoyed all aspects of our visit. I did pick up a cannoli to go and it was absolutely delicious. If I am ever in the area again, I will make sure to stop back in. This place did not disappoint.

A really pleasant little deli. Their croissants are absolutely out of this world; everything else is good and the petit fours are worth checking out if that's your thing.Their king cakes are always soft and heavy with a generous filling and frosting that is just the right amount.

I have been going here with my family since I was very small and it has always been incredibly special to me. Atwood's remains the first place I go when I come back into Alexandria as an adult. The food is perfect. I think I've tried every single item by this point and not a thing has failed to amaze and tantalize. I know and love every smiling face behind the counter and they are always completely pleasant and helpful. Thank you for being there for me Atwood's!

This is a nice hometown restaurant with lots of breakfast and desert options. They also provide a lunch menu. Their parking lot could use some attention. Both of their wheelchair ramps are not blocked off from regular traffic, so they can be blocked off parked vehicles.

Giving 1 star because the pastries were rancid. My mom had croissants, brownies, rum balls and they were all rancid. Had to throw them out. My sister got sick the other day after she ate whatever she had from there. Definitely need to do something about that so no one else gets sick.

I was very disappointed in the quality of the cake decoration, the cake tasted. good but the decoration is poor, a clear photograph was supplied, and the cake did not look like the photo almost $200 for a birthday cake and could not get the decoration right is a lot to pay.
They make wonderful gumbo! They have the best bakery items, cakes, cookies, fudge, and way more! Great atmosphere inside and very friendly and helpful staff. I especially love coming during the holidays to get gingerbread cookie kits and their fudge and divinity are absolutely fantastic! I have never had anything I didn’t love to eat here.

I have never really taken the time to review, but Atwood’s is exceptional! As a woman who loves her sweets, I was in my happy place. Great customer service! Super friendly and I got a complementary petit four for my first visit. Made this Tennessee girl feel right at home in Louisiana!

Awesome experience all the way around. My daughter and I were looking for somewhere that was not fast food but would have something that appeals to my 2 yr old grandchild. We were made to feel welcome right off the bat. Love the atmosphere there, felt like I was visiting at a friend's home. I ordered an eclaire, a canoli, and a cream puff. My daughter and grand got a cookie and a baklava. Very reasonably priced. So far I have only had the cream puff which was AMAZING!!! I could just eat the filling with a spoon. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back.
