The food is great and plentiful! The atmosphere is friendly and you can still talk with your group without the music drowning you out. The service is fast and courteous.We love it!

Terrible! Cracker Barrel has been one of my favorite restaurants for 25+ years. This location, by far, was the worst. I ordered Chicken and Dumplings with mashed potatoes, corn, pinto beans, and cornbread with a sweet tea. The chicken and dumplings were so soupy, I would have needed a spoon if I would have eaten all of it and it almost looked like egg drop soup. ALL of the side items were luke warm, maybe their warmer wasn't working right? My husband ordered the shrimp and tenders plate with fries, broccoli, and rice. He said the shrimp and the rice were good, but the fries were soggy and cold and the broccoli was cold. When the biscuits and cornbread came out, finally, (we had to remind 2 servers for them) the cornbread was over cooked and the biscuits were ice cold, not like cooled down, they were COLD like they had been in the fridge. To top it all off, the A/C was running nonstop and blowing right on us. I was freezing! The only good thing was my birthday dessert. I got the Coca-Cola Cake, which oddly enough was the warmest thing they served us... also delicious. The cake was 5 stars, but nothing else including the service (from hostess all the way to cashier) was worth a star. Terrible, terrible, terrible.

The server, after telling us how wonderful and amazing she was, only returned to drop off our bill after bringing our food. The manager dropped by to see if everything was good, we asked for more butter, we had 2 for 4 biscuits which we had originally only gotten 2 biscuits, and that butter never came. As we were leaving, the server asked if we needed more drinks...and she was not in a good mood. Food was great....service...not so much.

I want to make it clear that the food and the staff/service at this restaurant are top notch. Everybody did great, we enjoyed everything, our food was excellent, we were well taken care of.

My issue was Cracker Barrel making the staff come to our table 3 separate times to push the $5 dollar take-home meals. I am not blaming the restaurant, I am not blaming the staff for this. I know how it works with a franchise, so my complaint here is to Cracker Barrel, not this specific restaurant, you guys did great. But at a corporate level, they need to back up off me eating my breakfast before they start making these people shill their upsells.

I went today and Nayah M was my waitress. (Alexandria La location)
For starters, she was taking care of another table with kids when I was seated… she was so patient with them! Came to my table to get the order, and of course I had already planned my drinks, appetizer, and meal so I ordered everything at once. I have NEVER had a server as good as she was at this location. Quick, got everything right, apologized for “taking a while” even though she didn’t. She was sweet and not only checked on us, but other servers tables too! Def will be back in hopes she will last a while there! Thank you Nayah for being an awesome human!
