I’m gonna leave an absolute honest review and personally I will not be going back here!!! I ordered the seafood platter and the lady at the front said that it came with 6 fish and 6 shrimp fries and 2 hush puppies. But when I got home to feed my family of 6. what I ordered was absolutely disgusting; the chicken and sausage gumbo looked like 3 day out refrigerated meat on top of rice (pic attached) it smelled funny as well. The shrimp was cooked but the breading was Soggy as foot in a sweaty sock… and it tasted like frozen shrimp from Walmart. Then on top of everything I ordered the crab trap with fettuccine noodles and the sauce was extremely soupy and wasn’t thick like it’s supposed to be. It was $28 for that and I asked my wife was it good she said I’ll show you how good it is; she got up and walked into the kitchen and just dropped it in the trash… I was like what are you doing she said it was disgusting. She said the crab meat was rubbery and had a really smelly fishy like taste, as if it was bad. To be honest to spend a $100 and waiting 35 minutes for the food to be this bad… yeah I’m pissed!!! I understand ordering this amount of food will take a good bit of time to come out from being cooked and I was patient but to make it home 30 minutes away it was a waste of my time and gas!!
Then I noticed nobody in the kitchen area was wearing hair nets and possibly got hair in peoples food.
Also I understand that when you’re in a work environment you talk to people with respect even if you are getting someone back on track from doing what they are supposed to be doing but talking to someone like a dog is uncalled for! Unless they’ve disrespected you first then yes match the energy presented to you, but a positive attitude towards your employees and talking to them with respect is key to a successful business. I own my own business and I understand when it comes to talking to someone that you have a issue with pull them aside away from customers and understand that it’s the tone you use with people that work for you to have them respect you and understand you’re a leader; not there father!

Great people Great food Great service Great place,I'm a truck driver and I run all 48 states and I have to say this was truly one of the best experiences I've ever had at a restaurant the owner his wife and son came out to meet me,they are a picture of Louisiana hospitality,and I'll make it a point to get back here,every time I get close

I ordered a bone in rib eye medium, I told the waitress pink no blood. My steak was thin, overcooked and was not even a rib eye. It was a thin tough sirloin. I ordered it with a mushroom sauce that cost $3.00, it was too thick. Very high prices for subpar food.

Loved the food! My husband cooks amazing Cajun, so it’s hard to compare homemade to a restaurant… but the fried shrimp here was amazing! Catfish was delish, tartar sauce was complimentary to the catfish. Hubby is super picky (Louisiana born and raised), but he gave them a good rating as well, said their shrimp etouffe was great, noted they actually took time to make a good roux. He and my mom tried a boudin ball with cream cheese and jalapeno and said it was delish. I have food allergies and the young gentleman at the front was very knowledgeable about how they cook their foods so I could avoid allergens and still enjoy my food. Would definitely come back! Only complaint was the louder music, but that’s a legit part of the Cajun atmosphere (and my personal preference that does NOT affect my decision to make this a must-return restaurant). Very nice experience while enjoying a trip through southern Louisiana.

Dietary restrictions: Alpha gal allergen here, they don’t use mammal products for their fried fish and shrimp but do use pork lard for their cracklings and a few other things. Vegetable oil for their fish and shrimp without dairy, so it was safe for me and still delicious!

Man I really want to love this place but they keep letting me down unfortunately! I started going to this location at the beginning of this year, and my first impression I fell in love. The food was much better than I expected and the staff was very friendly. During a later visit, I got a to go order and found a hair in my chicken and sausage gumbo. The manager took care of it during our next visit. My fiance and I went in another time for some dine in and had a really rough experience. My fiancé was done with her meal before I ever got mine fixed and although they offered to discount it I insisted on paying full price if they would just please make it right, and they did. On one of my next visits, I ordered one burger and a beer and after 15 minutes still didn’t have a drink, at this point frustrated with the place, I got up and left. I talked to the manager Jeremy who said they would be happy to fix us up should we give them another shot. They recently “upgraded” their menu and dropped some of their prices, so we ordered to go for dinner. And I found out why they changed the menu and prices….my double burger was not the same burger I had in the past which are my favorite thing on the menu….as soon as I got home I could clearly see they changed the size of the burger, the buns, and I’m certain they are a different frozen patty now. I’ve told so many people that this place has the best burgers in town, and now it looks like they have gotten rid of the quality ingredients that I fell in love with. This burger was $13 and it was one of the worst burgers I’ve had in town. Now, I just really can’t keep going back because it’s always something with the staff, the lack of service, and now the quality of food. When I started going they had the best burgers, calamari, and crab cakes I had found in a long time…now with the constant issues and changes it’s like you really never know what you are gonna get, but in my experience, it just gets worse and worse; which is extremely disappointing for a place that seemed to have it down right not even a year ago. You can’t even get fresher brewed tea anymore. And the burger I thought was buying tonight was not what I actually expected to be spending my money on. Really feel like I’ve been ripped off and wasted my time giving them so many chances. It’s a shame.

I had the Voodoo Mambo. It tasted okay, but when I pay $22 for an entree, I expect a lot of food. Instead, I got a small bowl of pasta with no sides or bread. It was literally six shrimp, maybe half a cheap sausage, and some pasta. With tip, I paid $29. Ridiculous.

Additionally the service was mediocre, and the atmosphere is tacky and annoying.

My wife and I visited this restaurant a few days ago. We placed our order at the same time. My order came out approximately 15 minutes before hers. We were both aggravated by this time. We paid and left.
