“This bar is amazing! I'm from Georgia so I decided to go out and find a nice bar and I did. I love this place. Soon u walk in they make u feel like family. The woman bartenders are beautiful. It's very clean and friendly environment. All the people was nice. I love amelia even better since I went to this place. I had a good time and laughed the whole time. “Loved everything about this place EXCEPT the employee was dust mopping the floors and used the dust mop across the table in the corner where there's a sofa and a few comfy chairs. She took the decor off the table and then dusted the table with the same dust mop used to clean floors, including the bathroom floors. It was disgusting.”

“We were in Morgan City looking online for a pub that was open early in the day. We came across AJ’s. There were 4 of us from Texas and did we ever find a friendly place. AND, the beer couldn’t have been any COLDER. Paula was our bartender and she made us feel at home from the moment we walked in the door. Johnny was nice enough to give up his stool at the bar and move down by Dennis & Henry so there would be 4 stools together for us. You cannot go wrong by trying this cozy, clean, neighborhood bar for a cold beer and friendly conversation.”

“On the recommendation of a co-worker we went to Atchafalaya Cafe. I got the seafood trio (seafood platter). The quality and the size of the shrimp, oysters, and fish were great. There was plenty on the plate as well. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd have to say it's the best I've had in a year or so.The potato salad wasn't near as good. It was basically just potatoes drenched in mayonnaise. I don't recommend that.”

“Spent a few hours at a high school reunion here at the Petroleum Club. It was a pretty nice time. Lots of fried seafood, pasta, and chicken on the menu. Most of it was pretty good. The people serving were fantastic. If invited back, I wouldn't turn it down.”

As for the location itself, it is your typical small town bar that's usually occupied by the regulars and the occasional visitor stopping by for whatever reason.Like most other bars, today might be jam packed but the same day the following week can see it empty as my bank account. Same for weekends.The drinks are reasonably priced, the building seems to be well maintained, and the staff is ready to go. Definitely worth a stop and ya may even meet a new friend.”

“There are three hotels nearby. I didn’t know there was such an excellent Mexican restaurant hidden in the alley. It is still crowded on weekday nights on Wednesdays. Some locals even bring their children to dine here. You can see their faces from the cocktails. I have enough strength, and the lightest dish I ordered was very good, not greasy or greasy, and I didn’t feel burdened after eating it. This is amazing.”

“Great bar! Im giving this a FIVE star because it is located in Morgan City. They usually have taco Tuesday which means free tacos! They typically have a good line up of live music on the weekends as well. If you happen to find yourself at this particular establishment I hope you get Macee as the bartender. She is hands down the best bartender in this swampy area!”

“We were staying at the Hampton Inn, fancied a drink and stumbled on this gem of a bar. Low key with a warm welcome & cold drinks, we wish we could have stayed longer. A great bar that should be supported.”

“My ABSOLUTE favorite place to go on earth other than home. When I first moved to Morgan city I had no friends or acquaintance other than my boyfriend, however this quickly changed when I walked in to the sports bar. Kandi and each one of her bartenders: Jayci, Bliss, and Ms. Vicki are allllllllllllllll amazing people who are kind considerate ATTENTIVE, social, and truly beautiful on the inside as well as out type of people. I've seen and heard Kandi helping so many people it's unreal. She's extremely helpful just like Papa Dean and so incredibly humble. You are ABSOLUTELY certain to have a fantastic time if you drop by even if there's only a few ppl inside(I truly find those nights are even better than when it's packed) and you may even make a few genuinely phenomenal lifelong friends”
