La Contea is in our neighborhood and we don't get there often. Last night we went to celebrate our life and enjoyed a fabulous dinner. Our waiter was extremely attentive and knowledgeable. He even saw the camera on our table and offered to take our picture. On the weekends, there is live piano music which adds to the experience.
We have had many fine meals at LaContea; however, tonight I ordered the veal parmigiana, and was disappointed. The cheese, red sauce, and spaghetti were fine, but the "veal" was tough and dry, like trying to slice and eat a piece of cardboard.
we stopped by last wednesday. And maybe it was the day after Mardi Gras. the place was empty. I mean literally we were the only diners at around 8:15 PM. We ordered a couple of bottles of Good Silver Oak wine. The service was very good and gracious. She was very friendly and helpful with the menu and was also there to check on us, top our glasses, water, etc. The food ranged from okay to good.
