City Cafe Reviews
The hostess staff were holding tables for an hour/ hour and half from the time we walked in and would not let up on reservations that did not come on time. The manager was also asked and he doubled down on holding empty reservations. On a night where a band is playing, either make the patio first come first served or open the reservations that are late or no shows. Terrible customer service and sarcastic answers to legitimate questions definitely makes me want to NEVER return....read full review

Absolutely the best. Oysters are always perfect! Food is amazing. I think I have eaten everything on the menu and have never been disappointed.

City Cafe is a popular spot offering a good selection of lunch specials, including the shrimp poboy, seafood gumbo, fish on angel hair pasta special, and Mississippi mud, all of which are tasty. The service is consistently good, with friendly and attentive staff, like Krista, who is known for being polite and pleasant. Customers often sit outside and enjoy a relaxing atmosphere that is not too loud, making it a comfortable place to dine. Many guests appreciate the homemade food and generous portions, such as the eggplant dish with crawfish cream and marinara sauce, and the delicious spinach dip appetizer. The eggplant fries are also highly recommended. While some orders may occasionally be forgotten or dishes may lack seasoning, most find the food enjoyable and well-presented. Overall, City Cafe remains a well-loved local spot with a cozy vibe and room for improvement.
