The Crowne Plaza is an older hotel, meaning the year it was built (1973). I visited about 13 years ago for a professional conference (the same one I attended this year) and this time I felt like the rooms could have been upgraded a bit more. According to research, they were upgraded in 2019. They were not deplorable or like a motel, but I expected more - especially since I was there for a professional conference. The conference rooms were nice. Staff was okay.Rooms: Need more upgrading.Nearby activities: Everything is close by - restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, shopping, and the interstate if you want to travel a little further out.Walkability: Everything is in walking distance but keep in mind this is a high traffic area with not many sidewalks.

I stayed in this hotel last night it was amazing! Breakfast was very good, live music, ballroomWas pretty. I 100% enjoyed this hotel it was clean and gorgeous I do give this, a 4 star because the breakfast prices were crazy and one of the workers were pretty disrespectful.

Nice place for a function. They have 3 or 4 ballrooms that can be combined as one big one.

I come to this hotel on business on occasion. After getting settled into my room and putting my food away in the refrigerator, I went downstairs to the gym. I expressed to the front desk clerk that I had hair all in my shower and toilet, and that my floor was damp from the humidity left by the AC in my room and that my floors were damp. After coming back up to my room to find that my refrigerator was unplugged and once plugged was not working. I packed all my belongings and went downstairs. I got to the desk and there was a lady in the store to the left of the front desk on the phone complaining to another employee about some type of documentation that she's going to have to do on them. I saw that she was agitated. The van runner saw me standing there and politely asked if I needed to be help, and of course, I said yes. After waiting for a little bit, while she was having a conversation, I said to her,'This is my second time downstairs, just so you know'. AGGETATED, she points to me and says, "I'm on the phone." I went to have a seat. She tells the person on the phone and that she has a guest that's mad waiting in the lobby. She tells me that she will get the front desk manager. I wait and listen to their conversation from the lobby. When the front dest clerk came back down, she told her that I had yelled at her and that I needed to calm down.I didn't raise my voice at all. The van driver watched the entire time. What happened to good o' customer service by saying "hello sir I'll be right with you"? Customer service 101. I think I was more upset about the young ladys behavior on the phone in the store located inside the lobby than anything. I was eventually moved to another room after turning it down the 1st time.Rooms: Hair in shower

Good rooms and staff. Noisy because of old windows and proximity to I-10

Great venue for company functions. Some of the furnishing are out dated, and the restaurant dining isn't lavish, but the event catering is unbelievably good--even for buffet-style. The rooms are great except for the remodeling work on the 2nd floor (7am til 7pm, apparently). Plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance...all in all, can't find better for the price

I would not stay here again. As others have said the walls are very thin and they have conferences and you can hear people walking through the hallways and talking and drinking all night. It took 30 minutes to get checked in, I was given a room key and went up to the room I opened the door to someone already occupying that room. I went back down and upon telling the front desk girl and the on-shift supervisor, the supervisor asked if i went to the right room and was I sure there was someone in there. I answered yes to both, they then put me in another room that had the windows boarded up so no light came in and the bathroom shampoo and conditioner were empty but the bottles were still laying there. Room service was right outside so I spoke with them and they came in and "cleaned" it again. I then woke up the next morning sweating realizing the air condition wasn't working properly and when I went to look at the a/c I found black mold behind the a/c. I packed up my stuff and went downstairs to check out and told the same front desk girl and on-shift supervisor from the day before and the supervisor asked, "Why did you not call maintenance?" I told her I just found the mold and walked down here to tell them. They didn't know what to say and didn't really apologize, they just said they would call maintenance and let them know. I paid $212 dollars for a night here, that is a lot of money for my experience and how it was handled. I was offered a free breakfast and two non-alcoholic drink vouchers for my trouble.

Stayed one night and had a pleasant experience. I wanted a nice, safe and dog friendly hotel when staying in Baton Rouge & this was great. We had a room facing the highway with a balcony and this made it really loud with road noise so I recommend if you can get one not facing the highway or you will hear traffic the entire time. The rooms are beautiful with comfortable beds & pillows. Had dinner at the restaurant downstairs and it was delicious. I had the vegetarian burger- one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Let’s talk about the gym- ITS AMAZING. Has fantastic equipment with large variety- if the gym is important to you, this is the place for you. Inside-outside gym sections- something for everyone.Rooms: Pet friendly!
