Love this restaurant. Food is always good. Tamales and steak yummy! Restaurant is in an old house that makes it feel so warm and welcoming. The owners are fantastic and the staff is plentiful and always gracious and attentive.
Everything about Doe's is amazing! We were celebrating our anniversary, and Doe's is our go-to place for a celebration — anniversary, birthday, promotion. The hostess wished us “Happy Anniversary” when we arrived, and so did Chris, our waiter. Every bite was perfect —tamales, salad, ribeye, potatoes, fried rolls, and white chocolate bread pudding. I would love to have whoever makes the tamales and chili to teach me how to make both dishes — I would pay good...
Just book the reservation, don't even think, “should I?” The steak answers that question alone, a resounding “you'd be a fool if you didn't”. The service, ambiance, and desert are just added bonuses. I love having Doe's here in Baton Rouge, it's incredible.
