I've eaten here before in the past and I remember the stakes being much better I felt like there was no seasoning on them whatsoever no salt no pepper. It was good it just wasn't fantastic I would give it an average really a shame since it used to be much better. The wait staff was super friendly as was everyone there honestly and the service was fast and friendly.

This is a wonderful place to take your sweetheart out to eat for a special occasion or you can actually take the whole family. Awesome food biggest steaks you'll ever eat. We love the tamales that they have for appetizers. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Service was SECOND TO NONE FILET was SEASONED COOKED to PERFECTION It just was a FANTASTIC EVENING CHEERS to the STAFF WE were treated like a KING and QUEEN THANK YOU WE will BE BACK

We were a party of 6, and had a most enjoyable evening. The service and the food are top notch, remaining steadfast through the years that we've been going there. Because the price of EVERYTHING has skyrocketed, the total cost of the meal sort of stung a bit but no fault of the restaurant itself. We have always enjoyed the casual atmosphere where we are comfortable in the surroundings while enjoying a delectable meal. That makes it all worth it!!!

Doe's has really good food, but never that exceptionally good level that I would expect with the prices. It's always an acceptable meal but nothing that makes me excited to go back. We went for restaurant week. The cream of mushroom soup was a great first course, but the salad first course option was very unimpressive. It was good but it's just a small starter salad. The steak was cooked perfectly and paired with delicious mashed potatoes and excellent greens. E pork chop was also a perfect just medium and not over cooked. The sweet potato mash was really good. The Brussels were good but a little more roasted flavor would have made it excellent. The tres leches cake was fairly dry and little flavor. The carrot cake was delicious though. Service was ok but not engaging or welcoming. Not bad by any means, but not that extra level or engagement. Also, my drink order got lost. I like the idea of the plastic tablecloths but many of them are old and faded with some rips that make the feel cheap. I like the food here but I think it's a bit overpriced and not exceptional enough to get me back in the door more often.

Went for restaurant week, and per usual, they were on point with every dish. My husband had the ribeye, which is always cooked to perfection, and I tried the short rib. Very delicious, tender, and juicyas this was their first time serving the short rib. We also had the seared tuna as an app. That was great, too. Drinks were awesome as well.

Our experience was Top Rated! It was My Regina's Birthday and I chose the Perfect Time and Place for her Special Day. Our Server was on Point! The downstairs Bartender was Outstanding...covering a full turning room as well as the upstairs drink orders!

I think there are much better steakhouses in Baton Rouge for the price you are paying. The ribeye was okay, cooked well but the seasoning was lacking. The sides were disappointing - mac and cheese tasted like butter noodles, creamed spinach was basically queso with a handful of spinach tossed in, the bread tasted like beignets without sugar, the mashed potatoes tasted like it came from a box - the smothered greens were the best side. For the quality, I would put it on par with Texas Roadhouse, however, it is close to triple the price. Everything else - the service, atmosphere, etc. - was great, but it doesn't justify ever going back to eat.

NEVER fails to deliver!!!! Fun, informal & DELICIOUS!!!! Being the end of Restaurant Month, we branched out and tried several of their special menu items. All were great! Ribeye steaks, braised short ribs, NOLA-style BBQ shrimp & filets plus their KILLER tamales! Was a fantastic way to celebrate several January and February birthdays. Looking forward to our next meal there, Per usual, it'll be like going back home for a great family gathering.

Nice place, the tamales were good. We had a waiter that wanted to be anywhere else than at our table. He would disappear for li g periods of time and them was very uninterested in helping us with two steaks that were extremely under cooked.

We decided to venture out for restaurant week and we definitely made the right choice! The ribeye was absolutely amazing and perfectly cooked! The mashed potatoes were great and we even enjoyed the greens as well! Highly recommend and can't wait to go back!

Doe's never disappoints me. We ordered from the restaurant week menu, and while it wasn't my usual Porterhouse, my ribeye was great. The greens were to die for, and the dessert (tres leches cake) was really good. Service was great, and we had a great evening.

Does Eat Place on Government St in Baton Rouge was always mine & my late husbands celebration place. Yesterday my son & I celebrated what would've been my 44th anniversary at Does with our most favorite person Mary Clair Sumrall as our waitperson. It was lovely!!
