If you crave old-school Louisiana cooking, Dominique’s Stockyard Café is your next lunch stop. Housed inside a working livestock market off US-190, the café feels frozen in time—wood-paneled walls, scuffed black tile, and a door greeter who hollered, “Get on in here and eat!”

The plate: Crawfish étouffée over rice, creamy white beans, and their spaghetti-and-cheese. The étouffée hit every note—velvety light...
The menu, like the interior, is no frills, but with a soul. There are no complicated dishes and exotic ingredients, but there are classics of American cuisine, prepared with love and attention to detail. A burger, juicy and flavorful, with a perfect bun and crispy bacon is a separate song. French fries, golden and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, beyond praise. And the steak, fried to perfection, melts in your mouth, leaving an aftertaste of smoke and spices.
Talked to a local Stoney- this place comes highly recommended! Good soul food. Nothing out of a can tasting! Meatloaf and yams suggested.Previous post/picture says cash only, but I have confirmed they do take card!
