Drago's Seafood Restaurant - Baton Rogue

This place was outstanding in every way. My daughter was having a 16th birthday dinner and wanted to have it at Perkins Rowe. It was 16-18 girls. So we visited every restaurant, and most of them, while nice, seemed very detached. One place, the cute taco place in the back, wanted to charge us $25 for bringing our own cake in! Crazy talk! But as soon as we walked into Drago's, we felt welcomed and like they actually wanted our business. Scott, the GM, went above and beyond to accommodate us. On the day of the dinner, the servers really had their stuff together and were all smiles. Just the sweetest people. We had Cat and Emory, and we loved them both. The food was delicious and came out quickly. I really can't say enough good things about the whole experienc,e except thank you for making my girl's day special!

Had the pleasure of dining at the new location on Perkins Rowe for their soft opening and it was such an awesome experience! Everyone was so friendly from the hostess to wait staff. Yasmenc (I may be spelling that completely wrong) was our waitress and she seemed genuinely happy to be there a was so sweet! The drink, appetizers, entrees and dessert were all amazing! Will definitely be back. Thank you!!!

It’s been a few years since I’ve been to Drago’s in Baton Rouge. I used to go when I lived in Gonzales. They by far have the best chargrilled oysters of any restaurant.

I highly recommend them. The service is always great and the atmosphere is great!

When I was younger my parents always took us to the one in New Orleans and I have the best memories of eating the chargrilled oysters! 🦪

Enjoyed our meal. Thank you Halie for great service. Fresh plump tasting Oysters and great broiled Red Fish. What shame ti's location is closing due to lease, will have to find them in New Orleans!

The chargrilled oysters were delicious and they were reasonably priced, unlike a lot of other restaurants on their oysters. And they give a lot of crabmeat and shrimp in their seafood pasta. I sat in the bar area and it was a nice atmosphere and spacious. I enjoyed myself and the staff was very friendly.

The food is overpriced and didn't taste like classic Louisiana food. The charbroiled oysters are the only menu item that I would recommend. The salad was even boring. I find it difficult to believe that they have been in business this long with the prices and lack of quality of the food. The restaurant was practically empty and that should have been my clue.

We went to Drago’s last night for the first time. The restaurant was not busy. We ordered drinks and the crab grilled cheese appetizer. After a lengthy wait, the waitress brought the appetizer to our table and told us the cheese didn’t seem to be as melty as it should have been. We tasted it and it was cold. We asked her to take it back and have them redo it. After waiting another 15 minutes, we finished our drinks and left money on the table for them and left. This restaurant made a horrible first impression and we will never go back. Foodies beware!!

The grilled cheese crabmeat was good but too greasy.

The food was amazing it's been awhile since I've had sea good prepared in this style so good, ended up sitting at the bar instead of a table which leads me to the service and the waiter and bartender I interacted with were great and polite but the hostess seemed stressed and was randomly sitting people out of order and no real reason other than that I suggest if your down here to make it a place to eat you will not regret it

Do not expect the same experience as you get at the New Orleans location. Service was horrible. Even heard 3 different parties complain about it on the way out so it wasn’t just us. Lower your expectations if you go to the BR location.

Poor service. Took forever to be greeted by server, get drinks, and food. And food was wrong. I had to ask for server because she kept disappearing. Food wasnt worth $185. Hardly seasoned. It just wasnt worth the time and money.
