Gino's Restaurant | Italian Reviews
The Fettucine Matriciana was amazing . Something so simple, just pasta with a cream sauce, was simply devine
TERRIBLE service…I’ve never walked out of a restaurant before but we waited over an hour for our food (including our appetizer… which never came) and never saw our server. We finally got up and left because no one could tell us what was going on with our order. Also as we were leaving we finally found our server outside smoking and on the phone. Disappointing because the menu looked amazing!!
Had dinner with friends last night at Gino’s, the food, service and atmosphere were awesome! I had the lasagna and it was absolutely delicious, I highly recommend it. Wait staff were very professional and friendly. Best of the best!

Gino's Restaurant | Italian is a hidden gem in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, offering classic and traditional Italian cuisine. The food is excellent, with amazing simple food that is more than enough to fill easily. The big meat ball with red sauce app and bread is very delicious, with a sauce that is a little sweet but still great. The mushroom ravioli is delicious, and the Caprese salads are bright and fresh. The seafood cannelloni is beautiful, delicious, and creative. The veal Parmesan, with a fried cutlet, red sauce, and Parmesan, comes with a side of spaghetti. The tortellini with alfredo sauce is the best sauce. The lamb chops are some of the best, and the wine paired beautifully. The cocktails, including the Italian 75 and the margarita, are absolutely the best part of the meal. The tarimasu with the expresso lady fingers is light with the right amount of sweetness. The Laurence bread is a fluffy, buttery, garlic, and yummy cheese and herb bread. The atmosphere is beautiful, with love piano playing in the background and an elegant atmosphere. Service has been excellent for over forty years, with wonderful, polite, intuitive, and professional servers. A place always happy to return to.
