“We love Mestizo Louisiana Mexican restaurant, a family owned establishment with a unique combination of flavors. The flavors are Mexican with a Cajun influence. The atmosphere is casual but upper class and comfortable. Our server was very friendly and attentive.“

“A friend referred me to Stone and Cloth last year, when I told her I was looking for a new stone for my breakfast table. My mother and I walked into their shop pre-lockdown and were warmly welcomed by Kelly Kirby. She gave me great suggestions for a replacement stone and a list of the Stone Distributors in town to search for my desired slab. Her suggestion for the marble was spot on and that’s the one we selected for our breakfast table. Since I placed my order during the lockdown, installation was delayed until phase 2 would allow for work to commence. During the waiting period, Kelly worked with me regarding having my existing breakfast table stone retrofitted for one of my bathroom counters. They removed the existing sink and under-mounted a new one to freshen up bathroom. At the same time, we realized the remaining piece of the slab for the breakfast table would fit perfectly in a second bathroom and a new sink under-mounted as well. We are very pleased with the excellent fabrication of all of the stone work and the installers had been polite, thorough and efficient. I highly recommend using Stone and Cloth for all of your building needs.“

“The crabcakes were delicious. The pimento cheese balls were also delicious. The staff was super friendly and nice. I had trouble with the seafood platter but everything was fixed to my satisfaction. Id probably eat here again just for the pimento cheese balls but i think next time it will be the pork belly.“

Matt and Jamar very thoroughly welcomed us in and served with a smile while having some pleasant conversation about our plans for the day and whatnot. (not the fake kind of obligatory customer service small talk)

While the food was excellent, the customer service from those two stood out the most.

If I owned or managed this place I’d made sure to do what I can to hold onto those guys. They represent your business very well.

Cut me off. Made rude facial expressions and Slick comments. As a person in the restaurant business. I know some days aren’t the best. Inside or out side of work. But No one deserves to be treated a certain way because it’s a “bad day” . It hasn’t just been 1 time either. Also seemed like the other employees are used to her behavior. Love the food. “This place is just okay. Others in town I would go to first for high quality coffee and pastries. They didn’t add the syrup I ordered so my iced latte was just plain. Maybe petty but their lids don’t fit tightly on their to go cups and results in coffee spilling down you when you drink it, which is just annoying and an easy fix. The pastry I had was good so that’s what saved the experience for me, though I probably wouldn’t come back.“
