“The food was very flavorful! Even the healthy items! We ordered the grilled fish with shrimp & veggies, and the fried snapper with fried shrimp and it was all SO tasty! Not heavy on the grease at all! The batter was light and crispy and not too salty (like other popular fast food seafood chains). Highly recommend! The hamburger with the grilled shrimp on it looked FIRE too! Will try that next time I’m in LA!“

“Went to Cork's for Mother's Day supper...YUM 😋! It was the best tasting, crispy, freshest fried seafood around! The fries were hot, crisp and awesome, too! “The seafood boil style dishes were great. I think they are reasonably priced. We had the crawfish, crab, and shrimp as well as the obligatory cob corn and potatoes. The food was a little spicy for the little ones, but I thought it had great spice. I really enjoyed the Sammy sauce, a wonderful spicy garlic butter sauce. It went with everything IMO. There was no fried food available when we ordered which was a little disappointing. I thought the atmosphere was a bit rustic, but traditional for Louisiana I believe. I would come back“

“The food was amazing. We enjoyed the Sunday brunch menu which included the French onion soup, fried oyster salad and for entrees we ate the New Orleans Crab Cake Benedict and Short Rib Benedict. The manger was so gracious as to give me a small bottle of champagne to take home since all the desserts were made with chocolate and I am allergic. We will definitely be back for the dinner menu. Fantastic table side service, beautiful ambiance and excellent master chef food.“

The Oysters were BURNT...all small FOUR of them...so crunchy a guest said the could have broken their teeth?!? I ordered the Shrimp PoBoy and only got a HALF! They said they would refund me, well DoorDash did...not sure why they did and not Jasmines. , waiting on an answer from them BURNT FOOD IS UNACCEPTABLE...there was no way they didn't know...really!!?? Especially if it can harm someone? What else was there was good, but it was disappointing it wasn't right, again! Oh, a good thing, the Shrimp and Corn soup had shrimp in it this time, just too creamy for my taste. Not used to cream in it. “A Celiac-Friendly Gem in Baton Rouge.
On a one-way road trip June 13, my son and I stopped at Eliza Restaurant & Bar. We were staying the night in Baton Rouge and AI had called out Eliza as one of the better local cuisine restaurants with GF options. Walking in without a reservation, the hostess kindly found us a table—an unexpected courtesy that made us feel both lucky and welcome (making a reservation is highly recommended, I saw 3 others walk-ins turned away).

The real highlight was how incredibly celiac-friendly this place is. I enjoyed some of the best hush puppies I’ve had—fried perfectly in a dedicated gluten-free fryer. I had the Corn Fried Local Seafood (Gulf Shrimp, catfish, crawfish hush puppies and string fries) The food was flavorful and authentic, and without feeling oily at all. Our server, Morgan, was fantastic in walking us through all the safe options for celiacs. If I were a local, I’d be a regular here. Highly Recommend. Only regret is I live in WA state and won’t likely be back anytime soon. Great place!“

High quality steak, cooked right, seasoned well, and at a solid price. We had two cocktails each, an appetizer of tamales, which were awesome, two wedge salads, and shared a 2 lb porterhouse. She was a big’n.

Dinner also came with fried bread that was ridiculously good. The total bill was $175, which feels like it would be closer to $300 at most other steakhouses. The vibe was chill too. We sat near the bar and had a great time. Good wine selections and prices.

“I have fallen in love with this place. My favorite is the boiled turkey wings. They are deliciously flavored from the skin to the bone. Everything on the menu is great and cooked to order. The service is fast and friendly.
