“This is the best Mexican in Baton Rouge. They have the best salsa! It is a roasted salsa so less acidic, which is what I love about it. Also they have an awesome, creamy green salsa. The table side guac is great too. There's no question they have the best fajitas in Baton Rouge. The chicken is sliced thin and the flavor is just awesome. I don't usually go for steak fajitas but I do here because it's always tender rather than chewy like lots of other places. Homemade tortillas of course, and you see them being made as you walk in. Love this place and when I want good Mexican, it is always my first choice!“

Great food, great service, and a nice casual atmosphere. I had the Pork Scallopini - outstanding! Crispy fried, thin cut pork and rich linguini alfredo. The blue cheese dressing for the salad must have been made locally and had a wonderful flavor. A little bread was crispy on the outside and delicious.White chocolate bread pudding with pecans on top were a great finish to this wonderful meal.I apologize that my meal in the photo was half eaten. “Quiet Speakeasy Vibes ??Spent a weekend in Baton Rouge and decided to check this place out. We did not try or ask for food as we had dinner plans already. But the service was awesome! Sadly our bartender was moving on to another career but I will be back for sure.On the interior, you will find PLENTY of seating with chairs and couches to create little pockets of relax zones. There was even a back parlor for additional seating out of the main space. Dimly lit but not dark really gives that speakeasy vibe ?We tried the Champagne Cocktail and a French 75 to start. I have never tried a CC, but it’s essentially bitters, brandy, sugar cube and topped with champagne. Very fresh and I love a bubble ?! To close out, we got an Old Fashioned and a Dirty Martini ?“

Don Juan Cigar Bar Bar • $
7539 Corporate Blvd Suite #160, Baton Rouge

“I went here on a Saturday night around 8:30pm. The atmosphere was inviting. As a woman, I was the only one as a paying customer besides one of the bartenders for a few minutes. So if you are a woman I do suggest if you don’t like to go to cigar lounges alone to bring a friend if you chose to sit at the bar. I sat at the bar and the male bartender had long brown hair had an attitude that was very offsetting. I don’t know if he was frustrated with his co-worker (who was a woman) or not but he was definitely p*ssed off with her clearly. I ordered my drink. He lightened up a bit but was still snarky. This night the bar was full and he was working it alone. There was cigar smoke in the air but not enough to flare your allergies or for it to stick to your clothing. I had shared a few conversations with folks and left about an hour later. I would go back, but I would probably visit Church hill first.“

“I loved the atmosphere of this bar and I will definitely come back again. It focuses on martinis and the most popular drink is the "Keylime Pie." There are other activities here like pool and some arcade games. The games took quarters if I'm remembering correctly. We went on a Thursday and it was dead, so it's a great night to visit if you're an introvert wanting to try drinks lol. I believe Friday may be their most popular day since they have drink specials.“

“Extremely rude workers. They delete comments if they don't like the review. We had a party of 10 and waited like they asked then they tried to seat us at a table for 6 people. Five people would be piled on top of each other on a booth. asked to add a table ( there were 3 empty tables right by us) they said no but we could wait an additional hour for a table. asked for manager and a girl comes out saying she is manager. No apologies no nothing. We did call ahead and were told no same day reservations but they had a big enough table to accommodate us. I have been reading reviews and there are a ton similar to our experience. It's starting to seem they do not want to accommodate large parties and try to make the experience so unbearable that they eventually leave. We ALWAYS tip over 25 percent even when service sucks. “So, I'm not explicitly saying I am a bbq snob, but unless I'm home (Texas), KC, or Carolina, I typically won't even try a place. However, I was with a group of locals that was sure their place could change my mind. Spoiler alert...it didn't. With that said, there were definitely some good points. First off, you could smell the smokers when you were in the parking lot, so great start. We showed up at the tail end of lunch and there were a lot of people seated. It took about 30 minutes to get seated, but it was a large crowd. I have no issues with the wait. I ordered a two meat plate with burnt ends, brisket, Mac and cheese and fries. Overall, I'm disappointed to say the Mac and cheese was the best. And it WAS really good. The burnt ends were way to dry for the most part. There were a couple of bites that were delightful, but for the most part all the fat had been rendered and they were just dry little nuggets. The brisket was ok. Also a little too dry and sliced thinner than I'm used to. It did have a decent smoke ring though! Our server was excellent. Kept checking on us and made sure drinks were filled. No issues there whatsoever. Would I come here as a destination meal? Not likely. But again, I live in what I consider the brisket capitol of the country, so keep that in mind. There were definitely some good bites, just not every bite. I give it a non bbq state 4 stars. ‍“

They cook food on the outside. If I had to say if I would go back I would. Only downside is they give u your ice in a bowl. It wouldn't be much if they get some of those ice buckets from Dollar tree to make it a little let hood.
