“The service was amazing. Restaurant decor was good, very cozy with a bit of flair. Most of our food was great, the grilled fish and risotto were amazing. The rabbit and gnocchi were great as well. My wife ordered the fried fish plate which was so-so, the breading didn't have any spice or flavor. The fish and oysters were good and very fresh, but the shrimp tasted a little off. We ordered the fried green tomatoes which had shrimp as well and it also tasted off, and the remoulade had way too much mustard in it. Overall I was impressed, but those two dishes with the shrimp weren't great. That coupled with the eye watering prices would make me skip this place if I had it to do over again.“

“There is a selfish part of me that wants to give a 1 star. I don't want anyone else knowing about this hidden gem of a sophisticated cocktail bar. The drinks were amazing and top notch. The craft applied is by far the best in town. No other places I know of brews tea for a drink, reduces pineapple, and many other micro touches to make a drink. The bar tenders know their craft, they aren't simply following pre-done recipes. They can make you a drink off your request. I would only make two requests to the business, you could turn the lights up a little bit. I leave with the feeling of the strip club scene from Varsity Blues when they hit the daylight. Also, please plan for when this place blows up. I keep hoping BR can finally support a unique, high quality, and niche place like this. Tell the William H. Macy look-a-like to keep on. He was great.“

“I went to Ruby Slipper for my birthday this past Sunday. The food was delicious & so were the drinks. Service could have been a little faster, other than that, I'd recommend it to everyone.“

“If you're looking for a mature, entertaining, yet leisure spot, look no further.Location is conveniently located about a half mile off the College Dr. exit.The drinks were premium, mixologist level concoctions. I suggest the Mistress. The Patron Margarita was pressure as well.I felt safe the entire time, but I advise arriving at 7ish because the venue seating is small, but comfortable. Also, the $10 cover started at 7:30.My man & I will return.“

I wasn't going to stop here but I took a chance. Sage was very nice! He spoke, he was polite and friendly. So glad the customer service is better. Drinks are good, too. It wasn't busy or crowded. This is a place where you can go play games with your friends and introduce them to some better craft beer selections. They even have some cards and board games. “My wife and i were surprised at the relatively dissapointing nightlife in downtown Baton Rouge. As we drove, she searched for a speakeasy. We came upon Hayride Scandal. Parking was easy, as we came upon the location nestled alongside a Hooters. Tall wooden doors open to a very nicely decored bar room. Darkly tone wood accents with bar or lounge seating. We choose the bar, as it is my habit to strike up conversations with the mixologists and learn about the establishment. 5 stars go to Brian, who was willing to engage my questions and then 3 mixology challenges. Classic black & white movies play on monitors over the bar tv. Fellow bar patrons were excellent conversation and an opportunity to wish them a happy birthday. Brian and Hayride Scandal made up for a great Saturday evening. Highly recommend this locale for all!“

“I recently visited MidTap and had an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, eager to share their passion for craft beer.

The beer selection was outstanding, with a diverse range of styles that catered to all tastes. I particularly enjoyed their Blue Moon, Abita Jokomo, and Brain Cake which had a perfect balance of flavors and a smooth finish. Each beer I tried was clearly crafted with care and expertise.

The brewery also offered delicious food pairings that complemented the beer perfectly. The hangover burger was a highlight and paired wonderfully with my flight of beers.

Overall, MidTap is a gem for any beer enthusiast. The combination of excellent brews, great ambiance, and top-notch service makes it a must-visit. I can't wait to return and try more of their fantastic offerings!“

There was plenty of seating available, so seating large groups wouldn't be a problem.Cocktails: The cocktails have cute names and signature mixes. Everyone I tried was yummy.Service: The bartender was impeccable: helpful, quick, and courteous. I think her name Chi ChiCon: Patrons have to smoke the hookah outdoors, so I didn't get to try it because the weather was poor.Verdict: I have plans to go to ladies' night.“

“I have been at this location a couple times. I looked this last time the best. First, the place did not smell like alcohol that had been sitting too long. It actually smelled clean. That drew me in immediately. I like the flavors. I tried a new mixture called Barbie Gurl. It consisted of pina colada, strawberry, peach bellini, and crawgator. It mixed so well. I drink half of it before I realized to take a picture. I would definitely order that again since I got the extra large. Also, the young gentleman that was behind the counter was so nice, personable, and professional. He explained what the drinks were and how strong they were.“
