This place is great, we enjoyed every bit of it. A delish cocktail and thoughtfully prepared, creative food.
I had never been here before when a old friend of mine invited me. Wow! That's all I can really say. From the atmosphere to the service to the food, everything was exceptional! I could truly see how this would be a wonderful date night for my wife and i, and look forward to going back! The food is authentic, so don't expect run of the mill Mexican food. Far from it, but far exceeded my expectations!

Veracruz Restaurant is a hidden gem in Baton Rouge, offering an exceptional experience. The food is absolutely phenomenal, fresh, and full of flavor, using high-quality ingredients. It is not your usual Mexican restaurant, with unique variations and dishes you won't find elsewhere. Standout items include the tacos—such as pork belly, steak, and octopus—which are boasting with flavor, as well as the queso burger, tuna appetizer, ceviche, guacamole, and the phenomenal rice with white rice and corn.
The drinks are excellent, including spot-on spicy margaritas. The staff is friendly, attentive, fast, and provides wonderful service. The restaurant itself is beautiful, a well-designed space with a cool, vibrant vibe. The ambiance is modern, open with high ceilings, inviting, and exceptional. It is a quaint little gem with a great atmosphere. While the entrance and parking can be slightly challenging to find, it is well worth the adventure. This locally owned place is highly recommended for a five-star experience.
