My team and I had an amazing time, and I want to give special recognition to our waitress, Molly, for her outstanding service. A big thank you to Thomas and Desiree, who I’ve had the pleasure of knowing for many years, for taking such great care of us and providing the delicious appetizers—they were a perfect touch to the evening. “Oh So Good! We spent the night in Donaldsonville on the way to a cruise in New Orleans. A good review led us to Tam's. We are so glad. We were skeptical when we drove up; no cars in the parking lot. But they were working on a stack of take-out orders. The inside is not very fancy, so most were getting orders to go as we did. The food was great! They have several Chinese entrees. But we got shrimp and catfish; comes with a bed of fried rice or fries. We also ordered small red beans and rice, and a small seafood gumbo. The small was about 16 ounces! Each of those was a meal itself. All the food was delicious and in very generous portions. A little ways (about 12 miles) off the interstate, but well worth the trip.“

“One of the best tours we had. The Houmas House is not only charming but it has a welcoming atmosphere. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, personable and passionate about the entire history of the plantation manor. I would return to do the house tour again and allow more time to visit the museum as well.“

“This is the cafe' my father used to work at. I went back to feel his presence, I did. The place is kinda caught in a time Long since past, I guess that's what made it easy to feel him. I love those places where you can step back in time and know that it wasn't always like this, messed up.“
