“The food was very flavorful! Even the healthy items! We ordered the grilled fish with shrimp & veggies, and the fried snapper with fried shrimp and it was all SO tasty! Not heavy on the grease at all! The batter was light and crispy and not too salty (like other popular fast food seafood chains). Highly recommend! The hamburger with the grilled shrimp on it looked FIRE too! Will try that next time I’m in LA!“

“The seafood boil style dishes were great. I think they are reasonably priced. We had the crawfish, crab, and shrimp as well as the obligatory cob corn and potatoes. The food was a little spicy for the little ones, but I thought it had great spice. I really enjoyed the Sammy sauce, a wonderful spicy garlic butter sauce. It went with everything IMO. There was no fried food available when we ordered which was a little disappointing. I thought the atmosphere was a bit rustic, but traditional for Louisiana I believe. I would come back“

“The food was amazing. We enjoyed the Sunday brunch menu which included the French onion soup, fried oyster salad and for entrees we ate the New Orleans Crab Cake Benedict and Short Rib Benedict. The manger was so gracious as to give me a small bottle of champagne to take home since all the desserts were made with chocolate and I am allergic. We will definitely be back for the dinner menu. “The workers were outside of Micheal’s today offering plates to promote their restaurant. Honestly, this was the BEST shrimp fried rice I’ve ever had, and I eat SFR a lot!! The chicken was crispy, juicy and flavorful as well! I’ll definitely be driving over to Fl Blvd to pay them a visit. Super nice people as well which is a huge one for me 😊“

“A Celiac-Friendly Gem in Baton Rouge.
On a one-way road trip June 13, my son and I stopped at Eliza Restaurant & Bar. We were staying the night in Baton Rouge and AI had called out Eliza as one of the better local cuisine restaurants with GF options. Walking in without a reservation, the hostess kindly found us a table—an unexpected courtesy that made us feel both lucky and welcome (making a reservation is highly recommended, I saw 3 others walk-ins turned away).

The real highlight was how incredibly celiac-friendly this place is. I enjoyed some of the best hush puppies I’ve had—fried perfectly in a dedicated gluten-free fryer. I had the Corn Fried Local Seafood (Gulf Shrimp, catfish, crawfish hush puppies and string fries) The food was flavorful and authentic, and without feeling oily at all. Our server, Morgan, was fantastic in walking us through all the safe options for celiacs. If I were a local, I’d be a regular here. Highly Recommend. Only regret is I live in WA state and won’t likely be back anytime soon. Great place!“

My daughter had buffalo wings and they were good jus didn’t have enough sauce and the lil it did have was watery and spilled out the box on the napkins and the Poboy box but the fries were seasoned real good they were awesome. I liked the fries a lot I will order from them again because overall the food was good.“

Their catfish is breaded with a great seasoned flavor, crispy thick pieces and some thin ones too. The Catfish Atchafalaya is one of the best entrees when you are craving a savory seafood dish. The crawfish etouffee is the best in the parish. We ordered the jacked up crawfish dip with the fried pita chips that come out hot and fresh with crawfish in every bite! Creamy with a hint of spice that’s so satisfying. Try that with the fried eggplant and you will love it. For dessert the richest and best bread pudding with an amazing tasty rum sauce. Take it home with you, heat it up for about 10 seconds and you have that midnight southern snack that brings you back to your childhood. The atmosphere is relaxing and the southern rustic Louisiana feel makes you wanna sit back and just enjoy the goodness of the evening. Our waitress was Carmin and she was welcoming and offered great advice on every dish we asked about. Great service across the board. The prices ate so affordable for the amount of food served on an entree, even the appetizers. Everything about Louisiana Bayou Bistro is superb from the second you walk in. There was a holiday party in the next room and the atmosphere was never bothered. Been coming here for almost 20 something years and it just gets better and better. The fried shrimp is my favorite. All you can eat for the price is unbeatable. Best food and people across the bridge! I live in Florida and when I come home this is where I love to go. I was no disappointed I spoke to the owners while there and they were sweet. The man even opened the door when I was coming in and asked me how I was doing and engaged in conversation. I was impressed. My server was sweet but not too attentive. I sat there for a while before she came over to ask me if I was okay in which I was not lol 😀. I needed more dressing. They were not busy but she was just not attentive but it's all good. Overall I would be back and I do recommended.“
