“The grounds and home are stunning. Words can't describe the beauty.
Only draw back is, 30$ for a 30 minute tour. Our tour guide was incredibly boring and didn't really tell us anything interesting about the home or family.
Also the home had some updates that were not super period correct. And made it feel a little less interesting. Like painting doors to look like old wood. But it's just painting. Or painting rooms modern grays? Maybe that's how it use to be. But typically old homes are not gray. They are reds blues, green, and yellow...“

“For what could easily have just been a normal cafe tacked onto the plantation, we were really impressed by our lunch at this restaurant. Service was really friendly and quick (Hannah was lovely) and the food was so tasty. My wife had a blackened chicken sandwich with a side cup of chicken gumbo, and I tried the Cajun medley (red beans and rice with sausage, crawfish etoufee and chicken gumbo) which were all delicious, but particularly that gumbo. Definitely make time to stop for lunch here if you’re visiting the plantation.“
