Wonderful place to visit & though a sad reminder of a terrible reality in our history, worth a trip. The ladies in the gift shop were so kind & nice, especially Kara & Sandy. Very grateful & highly recommend.
Kara Cortez, the gift shop manager, is truly a gem. Her attentiveness and customer-focused approach are exceptional. ✨
Employees were kind, the samples were beneficial, we went in not expecting to buy much, but after sampling a few of the liquors and praline cookies, 300$ later we had a fair share of goodies.

Located at Oak Alley Gift Shop, this restaurant is a great place to enjoy lunch after exploring the plantation. The Cajun medley and swamp fries are very good, served with refreshing mint juleps. The shrimp, crab meat, and okra gumbo are delicious, along with the special crepes with seafood. The service is friendly and attentive, providing wonderful southern hospitality. Visitors can sit outside in perfect weather and enjoy the charming converted house atmosphere while dining on excellent food. Inside, there are many local items for sale, making it a good spot to find souvenirs or personal items. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, ensuring a pleasant experience.
