Amazing food and service. Oysters were so fresh and flavorful. Bisque was yummy! Daughter had cheeseburger and fries. Dad for pizza from next door.

This place could be 5 stars but fell short on a few things. Firstly the chargrilled oysters taste… amazing!! They are definitely on the smaller side. Half the size you normally get in Florida. I was only able to eat 11/12 bc one was roasted to a crisp. Wait staff wasn’t super friendly but I get it, everyone is due an off night so won’t hold that against them. If you want to watch anything on the tv while you wait they only have one Chanel which was on wrestling. The bourbon pecan pie was luke warm in the middle. Nothing to brag about and do not recommend it. The wait time for everything is really long and this was with maybe 10 ppl in the entire joint. So, if you’re in a hurry go somewhere else. Again, could’ve been an off night for the staff, but it is what it is and my review is posted. Takeaways, improve wait times after orders, don’t burn oysters when you’re charging 15$ for half dozen, stress the importance of being friendly to customers and checking on them. Don’t serve pie cold/luke warm.

Very nice location and "vintage" feel. However, it could be that they were extra busy on a Saturday night, but service, while friendly, was slow. I ordered the sampler of oysters. They were very (very) small. Couldn't say much about them, ok, not bad.

Ambiance looked nice. It got us in the door at around 1:20pm. Service was at best a rated of 5. She got us to the table, got our drinks and gave us menus. It was one waitress and the bartender/waitress inside when we arrived so I expected it may be busy for her. 15 minutes later she came back for our food order. 6 charbroiled oysters, 1 shrimp Po boy, 1 bowl of Chicken and sausage gumbo with rice and boiled shrimp. My husband order a sample of two beers which she brought quickly so he could make his choice.-That was the best service from our waitress. Still we said thank you and began our wait. There were several people inside who already had the food when we got there. We had no idea how long they waited. So our wait begins........................... After everyone had left the restaurant except the people who came in the same time as us. Several group's people came inside. At this point I was getting very ignored not once did our waitress come over to say anything about of order I'm wondering if she was avoided even making eye contact. This was at the 50 minutes after ordering stage. It took 15 minutes more she finally came over and said they are working on your food. My husband snapped quickly and said this was ridiculous. Mind you we were currently only people who had our ordered in the kitchen. The new people were sat at tables with no menus. Our food came out 10 minutes later. The charbroiled oysters-three were burnt three were ok. I was starving and when we tried the three that were a little burnt of edges turned out there wasn't even oysters inside the shell just butter and cheese . Picture Attached. My shrimp po boy was the worst I've ever tried. I literally took the shrimp out and tried to just eat them. Blain no seasoning at all. I tried "pouring" hot sauce that did help. I didn't finish the shrimp. My husband said his boiled shrimp was good and my son said the gumbo was good. The only part of my meal that was great was the corn fitter/hushpuppy. The owner of this restaurant needs to come in or send anonymous people in to witness what is going on in the middle of the day. This is the first review I have ever written about bad service. I'm generally tolerate a lot if the food is awesome. It just wasn't awesome and with the great location they have better service and set up on the flavor could mean even more business. Updated 1 guy came back inside to buy three beer from outside and commented to us y'all are still here. We sat down next to his group of two when we first got there. He said it took them two hours to get his food.

Recently tried Jolie Pearl Oyster Bar and was a bit disappointed. For one, they didn't have the same items on the menu u as on their website. Second, they didn't have a lot of things in stock on their menu (and it's not a large menu) so half our party couldn't order what they originally planned for. Third, the flavor was much more bland than anything we had in the area, the hot sauce was an absolute must. I wish I could give this place more stars but just didn't meet our expectations.

I was in town for a work conference and wanted some delicious chargrilled oysters. I had an hour lunch break. My colleagues couldn't make up their minds, so I said see ya, I'm going to go to Jolie Pearl Oyster Bar. I wasn't disappointed! I sat at the bar and the waitress was super attentive, friendly, and helpful. Diet coke and six oysters, please. It was one of the best hours I spent in Baton Rouge. Fast service, good prices, friendly faces, even a little souvenir cup with diet coke to go...yeah, I can see why several groups of people were arriving as I headed out!

I ordered the daily special catfish with red beans and rice and cornbread. Unfortunately, my visit was not well. My cornbread had mold, and the catfish had some type of string inside. Management was excellent. However, I did not pay for my food.

Great food, enjoyable atmosphere and friendly people. Good live music occasionally. Can be a little hard to find parking without paying.

Best oysters in the baton rouge area hands down. The atmosphere could be a little less "this was a Chinese restaurant/sports bar" and a little more Italian cafe-like. More subtle lighting, a little more intimate and sophisticated etc.Nevertheless, the service is always great, and the jolie pearl raw oysters are SO good.

Service is awful. They give the same excuses of short staff you will have to do this or that. Tell you what I will do walk to the pizza place next door.
