This has become one of our favorite restaurants in Baton Rouge! The service is phenomenal and the food is always delicious. Highly reccommend!

We had such a great experience at this Italian restaurant! The fried calamari and cheese bread were absolutely amazing, super fresh, crispy, and perfect for sharing. I ordered the filet mignon with creamy orzo, and it was cooked perfectly, juicy, tender, and had that delicious crispy outer sear. The orzo was creamy, flavorful, and a very generous portion. My husband got the special of the day, a chicken breast topped with a creamy shrimp sauce and served with the same orzo — he loved it! Our friends ordered the steak and chicken Alfredo and were just as impressed. They also have a great wine list and delicious cocktails, plus the service was excellent, friendly, attentive, and our food came out quickly. Overall, an incredible meal from start to finish. We'll definitely be back!

I had a wonderful waitress that helped with everything we needed and support from multiple staff members. The food was great and came out very quick.

The roasted Brussel sprouts for an appetizer are our go-to! So deliciously charred! The small bleu cheese salad was plentiful, our server ensured us that we could share. Entrees were piping hot and flavorful! We will return soon!

Pasta was very fresh and tasty. Salad and bread that came with meal were also very good. The Spinach dip and fried cheese was just ok and I wouldn't order it again. Overall the food was very good besides those appetizers. The service was amazing and prompt. It was a great birthday dinner celebration.There was a live singer that we enjoyed a lot. Beautiful place. Would definitely come again and recommend to anyone for a romantic dinner.

Enjoyed a peaceful family dinner here yesterday night. Our drinks, appetizers, and entrees were delicious!! We were well attended to as well. Safe to say we will be back!

1st time visit. Harold was a great waiter ... attentive, but not intrusive. Suggested the Little Italy Sample .. and it was quite good. Wife got a GF cauliflower pizza that she thoroughly enjoyed. Nicely appointed tables and interior made it a pleasurable lunch.

Very nice experience in this family owned/operated Italian restaurant. Chef Alfred Kulici opened La Contea in 2017 and created a very welcoming atmosphere in this nice upscale restaurant.
The cuisine is very good with excellent and attentive service. The menu consists of traditional Italian dishes as well as steak and seafood.
We had Blackened red fish with lump crab hollandaise and traditional Veal Parmigiana. Both were very good and accompanied with a Sensation salad and side of pasta.
Excellent and extensive wine list as well as a full service bar.

The service and food were outstanding as always. The only thing I would change is less dressing on the sensation salad - you make the greens too wet.

This place has a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I had a soup, sensation salad and the seafood manicotti. The soup was delicious, but the salad and manicotti were lacking. The manicotti was missing something that I can't quite put my finger on. I would try this place again, but order a different entrée.
