Coming from Laredo, TX we have a specific idea of what Mexican food should be like. Las Palmas has a different idea. The frijoles dip for the chips was made with black beans. Not necessarily bad.....just different. I ordered a Burrito with fajita y Pico de gallo. The Pico was not pica, not even a little. Although the burrito tasted good, it was a little bland. The service was great and well left satisfied.

I’m a Mexican food LOVER and this has become our favorite place to eat the past 6 months. Not sure what they changed but it’s working! Best chips in town!!! Margaritas are strong and not too sweet! Last few experiences have been wonderful!!!

Very solid, always consistently good. The chips and salsa are the best though, can't beat 'em.

Food was so bland. I was not expecting this for a Mexican restaurant. Literally they brought my choice of protein out and it was just grilled surrounded in onions with nothing else on it. It was not good and had no flavor/no seasoning. Disappointing experience for the high price of the meal.

They have a crazy lady working here. She chased my grandparents outside to threaten them and belittle them. The service was absolutely horrible and very scary. We do not know her name but she was at work on January 28th at 5:00-5:30 and was working in the bar area. She also ran outside of her place of work around 5:20 to yell at my grandparents because she did not receive a $2.00 tip after HORRIBLE service. She needs to be fired, immediately.

From a bunch of Texans, this place was very pleasant and the food was very flavorful. The staff was very friendly and tentative to our needs.

Great food, great space, decent service, terrible bar selection. No bourbon - the only whiskey they have is Jack Daniels and Dewars. Seriously?? Friday night at 8:30 and the place is empty. Waiter seems unhappy at having to be here and is sitting at another (empty) table scrolling on her phone. But - the food is great. Las Palmas always hits it out of the park on the food! Hopefully this location will hang on.

Las Palmas is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Baton Rouge. They always accommodate our company for work lunches and events. Sam is always friendly and makes sure we are taken care of. I would give them 100 stars if I could.

This is a good place for a quick lunch. Service is hit or miss. Sometimes you get a great server, sometime service is lousy. The food is just okay. Not quality, homemade food. We come here for lunch only. There are many better Mexican restaurants in town.
