Over the last few years, I've loved how vegan-friendly Mellow Mushroom has become. Unfortunately my last three visits to have been progressively worse. Due to poor customer service and pizza quality, tonight's experience left me not wanting to return. I ordered a Veg Out pizza made vegan with light Follow Your Heart Cheese. The server responded, "the vegan cheese is Follow Your Heart." I said yes, and that I wanted a light amount of it- just not as much as is typically on a pizza. She seemed to understand and left. When we got our order, it was covered with a thick layer of cheese (not light at all) and the crust was so made so thin that we thought we got the wrong style of pizza. The server came to check on us and I asked if we had somehow gotten a thin crust. She said no and I started to show her the crust and cheese situation but she had already turned away and was chatting with her coworkers. Seriously, if that was not a thin crust I don't see how the pizza could have been any thinner. We decided it wasn't worth pursuing and had a few slices with some cheese removed. The pizza just wasn't very good...it wasn't hot and everything was bland. It didn't taste like what we are used to from Mellow. The server came back with a box and I started telling her that the pizza seemed off...and she was already gone! My husband decided to just call after her to bring the check since she kept deserting us. Here is where it gets funny...she brings back the check but stands at the bottom of the steps near our booth and reeeeaches over to put the check on our booth's edge. She could not be bothered to take two extra steps. We paid and left but I definitely won't be back after this experience. On the two visits before this we also had inattentive service and one wrong order.

I thought the calzone was better than the pizza. I got the Sausagefest Calzone add extra cheese and they really did add lots of cheese. I also liked that Gabriella didn't cheese shame me. I hate when the servers tell me, " it already comes with a lot a cheese." That's so rude. Well Gabriella wasn't rude. Despite it being a busy night, she was very nice and attentive. We got the check in offer: free pretzel bites w/any pizza purchase. The beer cheese dip that came with the pretzel bites was delicious! I wish I had one of those bubble tea straws because I could've just drank the beer cheese. And of course I had to order extra beer cheese because there wasn't enough for the amount of pretzel bites they gave us. But that's always a problem for me. There's NEVER enough cheese. Oh yeah. The pizza. We ordered The House Special pizza and it was good but my calzone was better.

Love to come here to visit my daughter at LSU. Fun atmosphere. She loved the buffalo ranch pizza, great drinks and appetizers. Everything was good. We went on a Sunday evening and wasn't crowded but can be busy during football season Friday/Saturday nights.

I used to come here all the time when I was younger for the trivia nights. Now days j feel out of place a little because it feels like everyone is so young but I like that they haven't changed anything so when I go it still feels familiar to me. The pizzas are amazing but the burgers don't get the attention they deserve. Trust me on that. The ritz is really good.

The worst pizza I ever ate. I can barely call it pizza. it taste awful. They charged us extra 6$ for adding one ingredient which is supposed to be 3$. charging extra 3$ for pesto sauce I never asked for. My worst experience ever in Baton Rouge.

I was eating at mellow mushroom yesterday when I heard what appeared to be the owner tell the bartender that she was too ugly to work for him and she started crying. Seeing this grown man attack a young woman over her appearance made my stomach sick. Never eating at this establishment again. I'm probably too ugly to eat there anyway.
Went in with Co workers on Friday night. Wasn't too busy when we got there but picked up quickly. they had big parties later and it got a little loud. Took a long time for someone to come take our drink order. When the girl at the door told one person we were there we heard her say she said she didn't want the table(because she was standing right beside us!!)but once we got another waitress, Gabrielle , and she was able to finally get to us she did a wonderful job. Pizza was good and my salad was big. Definitely would like to come try again. Maybe on a night where it's slower and all of your employees actually want business.

Says they're open till 12, but they close at 10 on Sunday's. I drove all the way here in the storm to get some pizza. Get smacked with the one star boy!!!

I was in Baton Rouge for a family thing when it was decided that everyone was starving so we headed over to MM for a quick dinner. I had not been to this location since I was living in BR after Katrina and a friend worked as a server at this location. The place has been kept up and is clean, even with the volume of people in and out. We had the spinach artichoke dip and a couple of different pies. They were all ok to good and my huge unsweet tea was great. Our server was helpful and tolerant... there were some large kid groups in the night I was there. Solid choice, especially since they cater to so many special diets.
