The name change wasn’t expected as Google Maps had it listed as “Muffuletta Shack” and for the last 15 years it’s been known as “Heather V’s Cafe”. Food was good, and plenty of art on the walls to look at while we waited for the food.
I had one of the best sandwiches of my life at Muffaletta Shack and I am still thinking about it weeks later. The muffaletta was packed with fresh ingredients and the bread was perfectly soft yet crispy on the outside. You can tell that everything is made with a lot of love and attention to detail. The place has a wonderfully cozy and welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home. If you are ever in Baton Rouge this spot is an absolute must visit.
Great little sandwich shop and bakery. I highly recommend!
