The food was 3/5. We had pizza. It was freshly cooked. For me, though it was loaded with ingredients and cheese, it was still somehow bland. The service was a 2/5. Very direct and not friendly. Everything is self-serve--from ordering at the counter, to picking it up at the counter and paying, to getting your own drinks. The only thing you don't have to do is bus your table. Ambiance was 4/5. It was very dive-y and sports-bar-ish. Very casual and comfortable. The menu is expansive, which usually means quality is lacking, but I do want to go back and try some other items. Overall, I give it a 3/5. Hopefully next time, I'll be a bit more excited about the food that I get and the staff might be a smidge friendlier.

Pastime located in downtown area host a lot of State officials. Pastime is said to be known for their poboys but menu display many pizza options. I ordered a shrimp poboy and was terribly disappointed with it; the bread was tough, shrimp lacked seasoning and did not appear fresh from fryer as well as poboy was not dressed as customized on sheet wherein orders are provided to waitress. The pizza was delicious and satisfying to taste buds. Definitely wouldn't mind trying again the pizza. The atmosphere is one that reminds me of a different area; you get a feel of being someplace else outside Baton Rouge. There were no traditional waiters/waitress and your name is called when meal is ready wherein orders are picked up a counter where placed order. Parking is limited and could be difficult finding a space depending on hour visiting restaurant. Not sure if I would ever return to this place.

If you love small town hole in the wall feelings this is the place to go. Food was really good, service was great and being from a small town myself, the atmosphere was amazing. As soon as we sat down the first time we went there, the bartender introduced us to the patrons in the bar. I love it. Went twice and would definitely go back again.

A Baton Rouge staple since 1945! I've been going here since I was a kid, and it's always been dark and dinghy, but I always remember it being a treat. The staff is wonderful and the food is always amazing.Parking: Sometimes, you have to park across the street under the Mississippi River Bridge, but it's not much of a hassle.
