Waste of money! Small amount of food wasn't any good either for over an hour wait... this place was way over priced. Would never go back to this dump.

Seems like a cozy place. Red flags went up immediately as I noticed all the TV's (at least 3) were tuned to Fox News. I found a table near one tuned to CBS, though and sat near it. Breakfast was average.

Pretty decent Po boys and seafood, though nothing to write home about. The gumbo was really good. Staff were all quite friendly but seemed a bit understaffed. Bread pudding was a tad too sweet for my taste.

Wonderful food, nice and inviting people, and a super environment. We really enjoyed our time here and the food that we experienced. The etouffee and the coconut shrimp are both a must try.

Great spot for a hearty lunch. The staff was really welcoming and the food was always great. I went here three times in the week I was staying in Baton Rouge, if that tells you anything.
I enjoyed the hometown feel of this place. Friendly staff, and they have that many convenience/candy stand by the register. Definitely looking forward to coming back to this spot.

Poor Boy Lloyd's is a Baton Rouge institution and for good reason. The food is amazing, prices are great, and everyone is as nice as can be.

Stop here for lunch, I got a cumpl of gumbo a Shrimp PoBoy and it was great. I really like their gumbo, it's flavor was unique and authentic.Affordable prices and friendly staff.
I was recently there for a business meeting. I ordered the grilled chicken salad, while the rest of my group ordered fried lunch plates. My order arrived last, about 30 minutes later. It wasn't busy for lunch time, but maybe only one person cooking. I tried the bread pudding. It lacked sufficient custard 'soak', as clumps were dry bread. It tasted freezer burned. Not great.
We had a delightful experience at Poor Boy Lloyd’s in downtown Baton Rouge. The charming antiques and pictures in the entry set a warm and inviting ambiance. Ordering was a breeze, with a seamless and quick process at the counter. Our food arrived promptly, steaming hot and bursting with delicious flavors. The efficient service ensured a wait time of less than 15 minutes. The restaurant exudes a welcoming mom-and-pop vibe, creating a cozy atmosphere. Ample seating options are available for a comfortable dining experience, and if you prefer outdoor dining, the Florida Street entrance offers a charming setting. Overall, Poor Boy Lloyd’s is a hidden gem in downtown Baton Rouge, and I highly recommend it for a scrumptious breakfast or lunch.Parking: There is a parking lot on the corner of Lafayette St and another on the corner of Florida St.

I ate lunch here today. The food was great, the service was excellent and the people who work there could not have been more friendly.
Very good shrimp po boy sandwich. Shrimps were well seasoned. Overall excellent service.
