My mom and I visited this great place for the first time. Had a great experience. We had a small hiccup where we immediately sat down and didn’t know we were supposed to order first. However the owner led us to the correct spot, gave us menus and told us what to do. The food is amazing and the staff is so friendly. The owner even took time to speak with us after our hiccup just to check on us even though they were packed and he was super busy seating guests. He was very attentive! Great place, great food, great prices.

Best grits in BR!! Pancakes were good as well ! Nice lowkey brunch spot. Service was also great. Me and fam will definitely be back!!!

This place is very popular with the locals which is exactly what you want in a good breakfast place. Its counter serve and there is a healthy line. It seemed like tables cleared as new people checked out though so there was a place to sit if you wanted it. I had the biscuits and gravy which were fantastic. I also got a croissant breakfast sandwich. I ended up saving that and reheating the next morning. It was very good too!

Functional coffee shop with great breakfast (biscuits and gravy in Friday and Saturday). Laid back. Very crowded Saturdays and Sundays.

This place is a gem. My wife and I were looking for a good local place to get breakfast on a Sunday morning, and happened upon Simple Joe. The line was long-ish, but they moved it through quickly. The staff were delightful. The wait for the food was very reasonable given how busy they were. And the food was delicious. Definitely recommend this place.

Updated to reflect our more recent experiences. We have eaten here several times and enjoyed our breakfast. The breakfast tacos ? I ordered on my most recent visit were excellent.

Some of our order was forgotten. Most of our food was cold.

Hidden gem in Baton Rouge! The food was really good and worth the wait. My gf and I enjoyed our dishes and was able to find a seat by the time we finished checking out. The owner was a cool guy, very laid back. His staff were all super sweet and attentive. The music choice was great as well and just a great atmosphere. Definitely will be back once I'm back in Baton Rouge visiting.
